Great hotel in great location in Bangkok

We stayed for three nights and the service was great, pool area and all facilities in the hotel were great. only downside we were in the older part of the hotel so the rooms were a little dated and the balcony very small. Gym was fantastic, breakfast amazing and the ferry to the main pier was a great plus. It felt like we were in a resort rather than a hotel in Bangkok. Would go back for sure!

We went to Nahm for dinner at the Metropolitian, the food was amazing

Charming Hotel with charming staffs

we enjoyed our stay in this hotel because the place is so tranquil and romantic. it's really a good place for relaxation. staffs are so accommodating and they always have a charming smile. food is great and we really liked every single meal they offered us. i wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to our friends and relatives and if ever we will have the chance to go back to visit bangkok with the kids, i would surely stay again in this hotel.

Nice View, but some problems with Reception.
Good food, great pool, relaxing atmoshpere, comfortable bed, but I will never stay there again.

It's a nice location witrh great amenities. What I was not happy with was reception. When we arrived the check-in process was long and troublesome. It did not make us feel welcome. We were clearly tired but recetion staff still insisted on giving a longwinded explanation of facilities etc. instead of just allowing us to go to the room. It was also clear that they were not listening as they repeated themselves. asking questions like "havbe you been here before?" and not bothering to listen to our answers. I should have just answered "Yes" I suppose, to be allowed to go to the room. Furthermore, at one point it was close to check out time and my wife had not returned to the room. I was quite worried as I did not know what had become of her, and her phone was still ion the room. Reception refused to make any announcement as this was against policy. I would never forgive them for this nor ever stay at any Anatara Resort ever again on account of this, nor any hotel in the Marriot Chain ever again. Marriot/Anantara has permanently lost at least two customers now, and I would extend the same warning to any and all family and friends to avoid all hotels in the chain as long as I live on account of their officiousness and unhelpfulness. It doea not reflect well on the chain.
So I recommend anyone reading to avoid this chain entirely.

Beautiful Sanctuary for a quick getaway!

enjoyed the relaxed and private atmosphere inside the hotel compound. excellent service from everyone in uniform, from the front desk to the bar. staff were warm, attentive and professional.
had a lovely cosy room overlooking the pool and the chao phaya river view. as expected, all the facilities i could ever asked for in a 5 star hotel are all featured here. would definitely check out the anantara resorts in the near future!

We live in Bangkok, stayed for one night as a treat. It was fabulous - the staff were amazing and we had a great time. Fantastic for kids - there is "fish feeding", we rode on the shuttle boat for hours

Unpleasant Stay!

Water seepage on room walls, stuffy and smelly room, exactly not as expected. We paid for river view but the room was at the side and could hardly enjoy the river at all! We couldnt even open the balcony door as it was very smelly, the kitchen exhaust fans outlet must also be somewhere there as we could smell some food with that stuffy heat feel. The worst thing was the sight the next morning when we looked down and saw somethg muddy below which looks more like a sewer septic! The room cleaning service is very very slow, our room was not cleaned until we checked out at 2pm although the sign was lit up since 9am! We never enjoyed this hotel at all especially after having a 2 nights stay earlier at Banyan Tree Resorts. Definately a no no for those looking for a pleasant, clean place with nice aura.

I wish I could stay longer. Room was very clean, total was quiet, calm and relaxing. The dinner we had on the boat with a river tour was great. I strongly recommend this hotel to everyone.
