Old resort but charming enviroment, need refurbish
Like all the restaurent and the shuttle to Asiatique, prompt timing
6.7
we arrived about 1+pm, supposing the check in is at 2pm, but was told can oy check in by 2.30pm, so we went for lunch, came back by almost 3pm. unfurtunately we were told room still not ready but we will get an upgrade to the premierroom... oops yet the premier room was not ready when we were walked by the staff to the room. so we came down to the lobby again to check any other availability. finally we got the river view deluxe availble and got into the room by 4+pm.
overall staffs are friendly and the front desk lady recommanded a great thai restaurent to us in the mall connecting to the resort. great food!!
Restaurant Tip:
Good shuttle to Asiatique, lots of alfresco choice and shopping as well

Lovely hotel good for families to stay in
Calm, quiet location. Far from the nosie and bustle of the citi, yet well connected.
7.3
Our family stayed here late Jan 2013. We enjoyed our stay.
The location is in calm quite surroundings far from the noise of the city. This is exactly what we were looking for. The excellent reviews on Trip Advisor helped us select this hotel when we were planning our trip.
We were lucky to never get caught in the infamous Bangkok traffic jams. I've heard of some people who suffered those. So, getting to the hotel from the airport can be a bit of a harrowing experience if you happen to be one of those unlucky travellers.
The staff was very friendly and attentive, always wanting to please the residents. The travel desk was also very helpful and organised our two tours.

Lovely hotel, but buisy around Christmas
9.7
This is a really lovely hotel, great location, great food, great rooms and great pool. We stayed at the west wing and were upgraded to a junior suite that was just lovely. It doesn`t feel as if you are in a city because of its location. This might put a few people off but there is no reason. It is not central but the hotel has a boat that goes regularly to Taksin where you can go straight onto the skytrain. This is our third stay at this hotel (the first time it was still Marriott). Sadly we do think that the standard has gone down. This time it was no welcome drink at check-in and no cold towels on the shuttle boat. The towels in the restrooms were replaced with paper towels, the pool towels were worn, the garden was not so neatly cleaned and the water in the ponds were dirty (you could not see the fish anymore). It was very crowded and noisy this time, with several weddings and a very long line-up before breakfast. We still think this is a lovely hotel with great service, but we would not stay here between Christmas and New Year’s Eve anymore (because the hotel might be fully booked and crowded at this time of the year).

Good hotel but given the wrong and smaller room
Location, service, breakfast, boat shuttles to interesting points
8.7
Very nice hotel. Very good service. Food was very good. Fitness club is also excellent. A pity that we were given a smaller room than booked. Service also at the coffee shop took 35 minutes to serve us some scrambled eggs...too late to eat then as we were going on a tour.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Goo to Asiatique in the evening...lovely new place
