Anantara Bangkok Sathorn Hotel is for the demanding visitor. Every detail of the hotel is carefully looked after. From the flowers to the scents of the different areas of the hotel, everything absolutely perfect. The rooms are very modernly decorated and because of the bedroom/living room layout have a sort of home feeling to them. DEFINITELY worth the stay.

CHECKOUT the hotel spa. Wonderful Thai style massage. Incredibly relaxing.

the hotel is located not too far from chong nonsi bts. they do have a shuttle service, however, one has to wait everytime one needs it. although the 2-bedroom is large and clean but the kitchen does not have utensils or plates, bowls like other service hotels. very nice large bathroom with bath tub. i especially like the bed and pillows. very fluffy.
for the same price, i would much prefer ascott down the road from them. the staff is not very accomodating. the room price does not include internet. one will get 2 hrs. free to used in the lobby.

the two bedroom apartment was a perfect retreat from the exciting bustle of bangkok, although the location is a 10 minute walk to train transport or up to a 20 minute car drive due to the traffic..best to walk. supermarket is a two minute walk away. one dissatisfaction is we booked for 14 nights well in advance to secure a high floor city view apartment, unfortunately the request was ignored even though i had direct communications with the manager prior to our arrival and was advised that my request will be accommodated. to find a modern, full equipped two bedroom apartment of this calibre in bangkok through agoda at this price was excellent.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
the taxi and tuk tuk drivers outside the hotel on the main road are very pushy for business...be patient and smile as you walk past them...beware the tuk tuk, they take you everywhere except for where you want to go!!!

Great rooms - very spacious
The rooms had a lot of space, the breakfast was excellent and the beds were comfortable.

we really liked the anantara - it is alittle way out of town but close to the night market - about 10 minutes by tuk tuk.
the rooms were lovely with great views and lots of space. the breakfast was excellent as was the buffet which we had when we arrived on saturday evening. the pool was nice as well. all the staff were friendly and i would definitely recommend this hotel.
we had a 2 bedroom suite - the master had an ensuite and the second bedroom had two twin beds and a bathroom opposite. the only thing i would comment on, negatively is the fact that i couldn't have a hot bath as i couldn't get enough hot water but that really is a minor issue.

The hotel has maintained a very good facilities and environment with family oriented atmosphere. Our 3+ years old son had immediately take it as "our home at 20th storey" for granted. Even after returning to SG, he had been keeping on asking: "when are we going back to our home at 20th storey". Nevertheless, the only shortcoming is the location. The main road outside is super jam during weekday mornings. We had experienced a 40+ minutes wait in taxi for just about 800m by walk in order to get out of the jam.

about 40 minutes from airport, not in the best location though, only stayed for 1 night as we had a flight the next day, and we had already been in bangkok, so not sure how far away the hotel is from the sights....
there is a supermarket about 5 minutes walk away, with everything you could need :)

there are a couple of negatives...
no free wifi in the rooms, but if you sit in the lobby you can use free wifi you have to get a password from the reception, and also no film channels on the tv and want to charge you for video on demand
