Hotel Feature Tip:
We have been told that this location is very busy with traffic, but we've never seen the traffic there as it is on Sukhumvit and Siam.

Perfect for our needs

We have 3 children under 4 so prefer serviced apartments to hotels as we are able to relax in the living area once the children have gone to bed. The well equipped kitchen area meant we were easily able to cater for them - and their erratic feeding times - without incurring room service charges. There's also a minimart on site which sells milk, cereal and the like, which is very handy. Having said that, my husband and I twice used room service from the hotel's Italian restaurant and were very impressed by the quality of the meals.
The only downside for us was that the pool was not small child friendly. Even the jacuzzi area was 80cm deep so I could only have one child in the water at a time, holding on to me, but that's not uncommon with hotel pools.
We stay in serviced apartments in Bangkok fairly regularly as we live in a neighbouring province and this is the second time that we've opted for this Ascott. We usually favour the Sukhumvit area for ease of shopping but the Ascott's proximity to the BTS means it's easy to get to Siam Paragon and the other big malls.

Apartments are large with combo W/D units in kitchen. Location is within 5 minutes walking distance of Chong Nonsi BTS, and Healthland Spa can be reached by crossing the street at the traffic light in front of the hotel and turning left. Violet restaurant has excellent Thai food and 24 hour room service. The fitness facility is excellent!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Healthland spa is across the street and the new Dean & Deluca deli branch is next to Chong Nonsi BTS in Mahanakorn showroom.

the room was modern, comfortable, stylish and more than i expected for the price. the service was great and friendly. the room service was superb with the best bolognese i have ever had in thailand. pool was great and the fitness center was incredible. the hotel is located in the business district and near st. louis hospital and bts stations. truly a great hotel especially for the price.

although this hotel is geared towards the business traveller, the size and standard of rooms makes it appealling to all.
the one bedroomed appartment is spacious, comfortable and has a well equipped kitchen complete with all the required utensils needed to cook a great meal.
this hotel is only approximately 5mins walk from the nearest bts station.

The room is good size, clean and tidy. Breakfast buffet is simple but good enough for a rush morning.
Hotel fecilities is good, nice swimming pool and quite a big gym. Staffs are also very nice and helpful
The hotel is locate at business area so weekday the traffic is real bad in he morning and evening but possible to walk to office building around.
Restaurant Tip:
Relaxing dinning or drinking at small cottage by the pool is one of a good recommended at the hotel.
