Great size rooms, much better product than Fraser Suites. Gym fantastic. Breakfast not very good (seems like sitting out for a long time), location also not the best. But these are minor when compared to the room and rate. Have not been at Ascott Sathorn for over 2 years now. Regret I have not come back earlier. Great rooms, good gym and in general a good product.
Looking forward to seeing the Ascott really soon.

Hospitable staff, 5 min walk to MRT and 7 eleven, clean and beautiful room, great breakfast We stayed in an executive suite for two nights and I wish we could have stayed longer. The room was beautiful. It had everything you could need, pretty much a small apartment. It had a clothes washer/dryer but we could never get it to dry our clothes all the way. We had someone come up and teach us how to us it but still could not get it to function properly. The staff was very friendly, we had a flight at 1700 and they let us extend our check out by 2 hours free of charge. The breakfast was delicious. On the day of Thai New Year they gave us leis of jasmine flowers and a box of Thai desserts. The MRT was within 5 min and a 7 eleven was down the street.
Travel tip : Grand Palace is about 70 baht by taxi. If you like shopping hit the night bazar at Lumphini park.

security, space, quiet and an air of calmness had a very pleasant stay in the 2 bedroomed executive apartment with all mod-cons. Very good security with room keycard needed to activate the lift to access the apartment and pool floors. Maid service attended everyday in the afternoon. Taxis were readily available and a shuttle mini bus is operated to the main shopping centres etc. Pool side bar/meal service was very good as well.

The hotel was a very fine place to stay. Extremely attentive and courteous staff. Very nicely appointed room (executive suite). Not difficult to access. Taxi drivers and tuk tuk drivers knew where it was. A little bit out of the way, though the Chong Nonsi Skytrain station is nearby. A short walk to the Skytrain, but up and down stairs for the Sathorn Rd. crossover and then up stairs again to access the Skytrain. However, when I was there in January 2009, I noticed that a "walkway" is being built at the Sathorn Rd. crossover to give direct access to the Skytrain without having to climb another set of stairs. Wonderful! A most comfortable and safe place. The security is impressive, the staff are helpful and most courteous. The complimentary breakfast is adequate. I arrived late at night after the in-house restaurant had closed, but the staff helped me to have food delivered to my room. This was greatly appreciated. I would recommend this hotel to any and all of my friends who wish to visit Bangkok.

Very close to Lumpini Night Market which makes for great late night eating and shopping
Surrounded by embassies and about halfway between two stations so the 15-20 minute walk late at night back to the hotel is a little scary as no-one else is around as the area is deserted at nights.
Internet access is an additional cost. The seven days we spent at the Ascott Sathorn were really enjoyable as the apartment had everything you could wish for including an onsite convenience store which made up for its somewhat isolated location. Aldo'sestaurant is fabulous for lunches served poolside and it was quite fascinating to see business lunches being served in the poolside cabanas to ppl in suits whilst hotel guests sunbathed around pool. It says something for the food and the business lunch menu was great, tasty and inexpensive. Lots of sun around the pool, though not quite enough beds for everyone using the facilities. Great bathroom products! Location is good as its only a few stops to get anywhere and its only downfall is that it is a little remote being located in amongst all the embassies and was a litte strange getting off the train late at night and being the only ppl getting off at the station. The walk back to the hotel was likewise lonely with absolutely no foot traffic around after about 6pm. All in all, great serviced apartments, particularly for the price obtained through Agoda and would definitely return.
Restaurant Tip : Book a poolside cabana for lunches during your stay as soon as you arrive - that way you can use it all day and choose the business lunch menu as its half the price of the regular one.

The interior design of the room and hotel is very nice and comfortable. It has most of the rest and relax facilities you need after a rough day. The swimming pool is especially wonderful to dip inside to combat the scorching sun. I wish the hotel's breakfast could have offered more dishes. Also it is good to change the dishes everyday. I enjoyed the three nights hotel stay together with my couple friend. The room is clean and attractively decorated. The furniture and electronic equipment is new and easy to use. However, I was rather upset with the hotel breakfast. The dishes are not really nice. The experience is made worst when the latter is accompanied with smileless and inattentive waitress.
Shopping Tip : There is a nice massage parlor, Healthland, across the road. It is cheap and nice.

Great rooms, large and comfortable. Huge and amazing gym. Great outdoor pool with nice italian restaurant. Location can be a con depending on your plans. The hotel restaurant is pretty bad. This is my second stay. The hotel itself is very nice and for room comfort and standard I would stay here any day. The front desk is nice (except for one lady) and the staff at the entrance is top notch. The location can be a con, but it depends on what you are looking for. Traffic on Sathorn is crazy any time after 3PM until about 9PM. So unless you want to walk to the nearest BTS (about 10 minutes), don't go anywhere. The hotel has an amazing gym with great sauna and whirlpool. The hotel also has an italian restaurant poolside which is great. However the hotel restaurant itself is quite bad. They offered a lunch buffet at very very cheap and nobody showed up... one would think the owners would recognize this and make the required changes. However, you also get a huge kitchen in your room and can cook yourself if you like.

Room accomodations are very spacious and top rate. The facilities are great, including the gym and pool. This hotel is top rated in my book (5 stars). It has very spacious suite and the facilities are excellent. The three restaurants provided great dining options.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Walking distance to Sky Train station.

This is a really nice and clean place with all the amenities you would expect form a hotel. If you are looking for a nice and clean place to stay, this hotel is a good and conveniently located. Good service and good amenities. I would recommend this hotel to cost conscious travellers who are looking for a place which offers the best bang for the buck !

Great fitness center and spa. Wonderful pool area with nice restaurant. Great rooms. Away from the busy Bangkok life but still close enough to walk to BTS. Many of the hotel staff are unfriendly and not helpful at all. Very pretentious and think they are better than the guest. I've long wanted to go and stay at this hotel/apartment. The facilities are very nice and the rooms are great. It is a little bit away from everything, but that can be a good thing when one wants to relax and get away from the busy Bangkok nightlife. Room service was good as well as the guys calling for taxi. However the counter staff was incredibly rude and self-absorbed. Same with the staff at the breakfast area. I've read about this and am surprised the hotel has not taken action to remedy the attitude of those staff members. So for me, this is a huge reason to not come back to this hotel and rather check into one of the many other hotels with friendly and professional staff.
Hotel Feature Tip : Stay at LEBUA instead.

Location and the limited room service. Very, very spacious room - big living room, fully equipped kitchen, dining area...very comfortable and makes you feel at home. Staff are friendly and nice. However they should improve their F&B. We tried to order room service, but they said they are off already, nevertheless they were willing to send staff out to the convenience store to help us get what we wanted. It would be much better if their room service is 24 hours. Expected better breakfast choice... Location is 10 minutes walk to Chong Nonsi BTS.

All services provided by the hotel was exceptional. Very friendly and helpful staff they had The bathroom is ok, we couldn't find the stop for the bathtub; it was a pity that we couldn't not make use of the bath. The location of the hotel is about 10 mins walk from the nearest skytrain station. It is not located in a tourist area though. There's a big body massage shop (Healthland) 5 mins walk from the hotel, which was quite convenient and affordable. The breakfast at the hotel restaurant was very good. This was my first time to Bangkok and my hotel experience was impressive. I had a good time in Bangkok

This is a first class accomodation, I would certainly say 5 star. It is modern & ambient from lobby to corridors to rooms & the service is first class. My business colleague & i stayed in the 2 room suite, the decor was very tasteful & luxurious & maid service was perfect. The swimming pool & surrounding area are a perfect place to relax & the restauraunts offer high quality western & Thai food. great for holiday & business. Location means that sky train is essential but this is only 10 minutes walk. This hotel is good for family & business stays.
