Good value for money and perfect location

Stayed at the Asia Hotel several times before and i never had any complaint. One of the best locations in Bangkok with direct access to the sky train and most department stores at walking distance.

Old hotel with great location
best part of this hotel is it's location at the ratchatewi station

Many people have commented that this hotel is old and not a nice place to stay in. I would like to say otherwise. It's my 10th time back at this hotel and i must say i enjoy my stay all of my 10 visits. yes the hotel is quite old but they have undergone major renovations inside the room. don't be fooled by the exterior looks. The swimming pool and gym room in the hotel was new and great!

good service/lovely room and bathroom/friendly staff/very clean and quiet even though it is located in a busy are/surroundings good/restaurants/shpopping and a very exciting art museum close by within walking distance/also excellent for shopping

Close to all shops and easy access to and from Suvarnabhumi aiport

although hotel is old, it is still well maintained. the staff are friendly and speak english. food at hotel is average. easy access to all shops. suvarnabhumi airport is only 40min with bts – / person, taxi was ± . will definitely stay at hotel again.
Shopping Tip:
1. MBK / Siam Discovery, etc within walking distance (less than 10min). Can also take BTS, less than 5min.
2. If you want golf stuff then go to Thaniya Plaza in Bangkok. Take BTS to Sala Daeng (S2)stop. 4 storeys of golf equipment.

Too big and no wifi

we stayed at the hotel for five nights. our children are 9 and 12 years old.
pros:
- close to the sky train
- one station from the shopping area with malls like siam paragon
- great massage place next to the hotel
cons (keep in mind that the hotel has 4 stars when you read my remarks):
- one day we came down for breakfast there were no tables available and we had to wait for 10 minutes.
- when checking in there was a big line up. stood in line 20 minutes before it was our turn.
- no one offered to help with suitcases to the room when checking in/not when checking out
- no internet nor wifi in the rooms. internet (but no wifi) available in the lobby, but for a prize.
- not a cozy area around the hotel. need to take taxi or skry train.
- we were here for new years, but the hotel had nothing special going on for new years celebration. this disappointed me since they have 601 rooms and three restaurants.
- thin coffee for breakfast.

the room is clean and big enough, easy for transportation by sky train, close to shopping area

everything is good, except internet service.
very convient for going around in BKK by skytrain or traffic boat.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
can take boat to grand place or watergate, very quick.

i enjoyed the staff and hotel location but the internet or lack of internet was really ridiculous. in these times to not offer free wifi is sub par in any category.

Very nice hotel, strategic location
Great location, next to Ratchathewi Skytrain station, walking distance tyo Siam Centre and Indonesian Embassy

We stayed on 2 occasions, both very enjoyable. Rooms were spacious, even with extra bed, and well appointed. Reception staff were very helpful, and upgraded our rooms. Best selling point is the great strategic location, right next to Ratchathewi Skytrain station, and within walking distance to Siam Centre/ Paragon Mall and Indonesian Embassy.

Very strategic location hotel and great room

Asia Hotel Bangkok have a very good location because directly connecting to BTS Ratchathewi so that make it easier for the first time like us,it's not a new hotel but it still comfort..
But there aren't toothbrush and hot water appliance (there a charge for hot water drink = 60 baht/thermos)
But over all, i think this hotel is a great
Travel tip:
Connecting BTS to hotel always close at 23.00...
