Clean, Roomy, great location, Internet in room, friendly staff
Long walk to Sukhumvit Road
I was skeptical at first because from the outside the hotel looks like a small hotel. Also it is a 10-12 minute walk from the main road which is a disadvantage. But once inside it was the best hotel I had stayed in in Bangkok till date. The staff, clean rooms which were nice and big, conviniences such as music system, LCD TV, in-room safe and good bathroom. I enjoyed my stay here and next time I bring my family I'll certainly stay here again. Only small (forgivable) issue was the repeated breakfast for 5 days.
Hotel Feature Tip : Try the roadside open-air bar at the end of the Soi opposite Mariott, next to Burger King. Nice cocktails and cheap, too.

location of the hotel, value, free internet, gym, pool, clean and modern rooms
The hotel is located on Soi 2, very close to Nana (Soi 4) and all the activities associated with the area (bars, nightlife, street vendors, etc), but far enough away from everything to have some peace and quiet while you stay at your hotel. The rooms are equipped with nice large flat screen TVs, a small stereo system, and free internet, which is usually reliable. Staying in the deluxe and suite rooms, I had a kitchen and refrigerator. The hotel also has a fairly good gym and outdoor swimming pool. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for any traveller. In addition, the hotel never charged me for bringing guests into my room, although they did take down their names and ID's for security purposes. My only problem with the hotel was the lack of taxis, and the bellmen were not particularly helpful at getting them - they would usually stand around in the street, not doing much.

great rooms for the price, free internet, location is near action of nana, but away from the noise
lack of taxis (bellmen's fault). Housekeeping would forget to replace things (soap, complimentary water bottels) occasionally
The location of the hotel is great - off of Soi 2, which is one street across from the bars of Soi 4 in the Nana area, but also the hotel is tucked in the back of the street, so it is quieter and peaceful. The only problem to that though, is because there is less traffic on the street, hailing a taxi can be a problem, (and the bellmen were not very helpful in this department) On the positive side, the hotel doesn't charge 'guest fees', if you bring someone to your room, although they do take their ID for safety/security purposes. Overall, the room quality was extremely high, and I feel this hotel is underrated - the rooms are clean, spacious, and equipped with new/modern furnishings i.e. flat-screen TV, kitchen area with refrigerator, safe. Also the hotel has a gym and swimming pool.
Shopping Tip : there is a 24-hour Foodland grocery store off of Soi 5, a 5-10 minute walk away for those looking to buy groceries/necessities

reception staff was terrible, poor service .
It was a trip to South east asia with family & children. Our concern was that we dont land up in the shady area of bangkok. So we booked up this hotel in business area .Very chic trendy & clean room. kitchen bathrooms were fresh & clean.
But people at reception were terrible! we were in a group of SEVEN booked three rooms. we all used to sit in one room for tea & coffee.once or twice we asked for extra sugar or tea bags they flatly refused," we cant give you more than two".
I felt they some how want to make money from the customer over than the room tariff ,they asked us to pay for the bathroom slipper which were not there in our room.
we booked our accomodation in parts 2days with expedia and 2 days with agoda.Expedia booking it kept showing that our stay with hotel includes breakfast but after we finished paying the print out had nothing about breakfast.Later I got to know from hotel that in Asia they dont provide breakfast to Expedia customer. But with Agoda It was not only cheaper compare to expedia but they gave us breakfast too. Go with Agoda.

This is a small friendly hotel, well managed and very clean and comfortable. Good location for business and pleasure (if you think shopping is pleasurable).
Some mosquitoes in the dinning room.
This is a new semi-boutique hotel. It is more practical than many boutique hotels but still has flare in the design of the rooms and common areas. The rooms are large, beds are comfortable, tv's are large with dvd/cd players, there is a small kitchen corner and everything is very clean. The staff are very helpful and friendly (most of the time). Breakfast is a little on the simple side but has everything I want and doesn't encourage me to over eat. Although located near an express way, it is quiet and I have never had a problem sleeping there.
Travel tip : There is a supermarket in the shopping centre (Ploen Chit Centre) at the end of the street.

On the first trip I made on this project I booked a hotel that I know to be good that was located near to the project work place. I was travelling with a Muslim colleague who had never ventured outside of his own country, where halal food is readily available every where. We therefore spent every evening travelling to the Arab Quarter to find halal food for him. For future trips we decided it would be easier to stay near the halal food and travel a little further to work.

I like Thai food very much and eat it very often, even when not in Thailand, however I also enjoy good western food. This is one of the ares where western food is well catered for. There are numerous hamburger/steak places and also lots of Italian and Mediterranean restaurants. I believe there are also some Mexican restaurants - but I haven't tried them yet.

Spacious, clean, safe accommodation. Also plug are European-so handy for charging phones, ipods etc.
From a nice friendly welcome, to a lovely meal before leaving The Aspen Suites lived up to and exceeded my expectations. A spacious well equipped room, the gym looked nice (but i did not find time to use it). Handily located for the dubious delights of Nana Plaza and the night-time madness that Bangkok offers.
Nightlife Tip : Head past Nana Plaza to a bar called Gullivers, happy hour very cheap, nice, relaxed atmosphere.

Relaxed atmosphere but efficient staff.
I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last few months, while on business in Bangkok. There is an abundance of available accommodation in this city, especially due to the recent political problems, however I continue to return to this hotel because it offers everything that I need at a good price. There are some computers in the lobby, free wifi (I believe) in the rooms but I have been using the free cable connected internet in the room. It has always worked well.

Very clean and well equipped.
The hotel is located mid way between Nana and Ploen Chit sky train stations. The walk takes less than 10 minutes and the hotel provides a complementary tuk tuk service to the end of the road (Soi 2) - then there is a 5 minute walk. It is in one of the business districts and near to the major shopping malls.

- New building
- Spacious rooms, very comfortable
- Room provides a kitchenette
- Free internet 24 hours
- Very helpful and friendly staff
- Great location
- The fitness room could be improved
This lovely hotel is located in the middle and a very peaceful section of the Sukhunvit entertainment and shopping area of Bangkok. The room was big and comfortable equipped with a kitchenette, middle size refrigerator, flat screen TV monitor, DVD player, safety box, and free internet. The staff members were very polite, friendly and helpful. The three times I stayed here I enjoyed it and had a great time. This is my favorite hotel in Bangkok and I highly recommend it.

Clean spacious room, good staff who were always friendly, especially the girls at reception.
Slow and small elevator that takes it time.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Aspen and will come back for sure.
Breakfast was also good and always a friendly word or smile from the staff
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Go have a look at Erawan shrine, here you can see how Buddhism is a big part of Bangkokians life.
It is only one stop away from Phloenchit called Chitlom but you can also walk there in about twenty minutes.

Friendly relaxed environment.
This is my second stay at this hotel. It seems as if I have been upgraded to a slightly larger suite. The staff are even more helpful than the first time I stayed here. There are several good restaurants in the shopping centre at the end of the street and a supermarket as well. I have been using the gym at breakfast time to try and build up some upper body strength but have never seen anybody using the swimming pool. Maybe that happens during the day while I am at work.

Spacious room (I had booked superior studio), fully packed for comfort stay: big tv, big bed, refrigerator, microwave, kitchen. Good simple
design. I was amazed. Definitely stay next time in Bangkok here and tell my friends.
In bathroom, holder for towels not properly attached to wall. Digital clock always resetted. Kettle didn't turn off automaticaly.
Good hotel, quiet, spacious and comfortable room.
10 min to BTS "Nana". 40 min to airport. I have no troubles with traveling from hotel to sight-seeing.
Had some little inconvenience:
1. In bathroom, holder for towels not properly attached to wall and had fallen several times. When it fall for first time I had fall with th
em and get a little trauma. Need to be more careful in bathroom.
2. Near TV placed big digital clock, but when you're leaving your room, power is cut off and that clock goes off too. So, when you return, t
he time on that clock is resetted and I cannot tune it to right time and clock always show how many time I had stay at room instead of time
of the day.
3. Kettle didn't turn off automaticaly. No big deal.
But all of that minor troubles and don't affect much of good impression of hotel.
Restaurant Tip : In the begin of Soi 2, opposite JW Mariott good chinese-italian cafe. I especially recommend Pizza Parma Ham here. Very tasty.
