The staff is friendly. The hotel was very clean. The bed was quite comfortable. The location from the airport is good for a stop over.It is about 20 minutes from the airport. We were only there for a few hours due to coming in late and leaving early. The breakfast is decent.

The location is a bit far from the city, but if you had your own car it would be a great place to stay.

We arrived very late but still found friendly helpful staff to greet us and take us to our room. The was a wonderful welcome. It is difficult to find a soft bed in Thailand. The breakfast was not the best but it had a decent selection and we wouldn't complain considering the price with breakfast is a great value. We wish we would have been able to stay longer and use the pool. The pool area looked very nice.

Travel tip : Unfortunately we were not there long enough to be able to give any advice or information.

The Food was great

The Cable TV went down several times in a day.

The location: Quite convenient, it locates on the Bangna-Trad Rd. However, you will need to get a taxi from the hotel to go anywhere. The Food was great---there are wide selection of the breakfast buffet. The restaurant's location also very nice. The room was ok---it's big, clean but not new.

Not to far from Sauvarnabhumi Airport, Good Price.

Bathrooms need a little updating.

Being close to the Airport it is quite handy if you want a hotel for a 1st night before moving on. Staff were friendly enough. Room was Ok, bathroom looking a bit untidy in places. However, this was not so big an issue. Would happily go again. Did not try the restaurant so cannot make comment about the food or service.

Staff were very helpful.

Even though we were only staying a couple of nights before flying out of Thailand, if you wanted to go shopping within a reasonable walking distance.

A good hotel to stay out if you have a stopover in Bangkok. It was a bit of a hike to the shopping centre (the Big C) so if you don't like the heat & pollution probably best to grab a taxi. There is a small convenience store in the lobby but there are no 7/11's or chemists etc. near the hotel. No complaints about the food and the service was good.

Travel tip : If you get a taxi to Avana Hotel, pronounce the v as a w i.e. Awana. Otherwise the taxi driver may have difficulty understanding.

pool and gym

old and terrible location no value for money

This was a very basic hotel the food was over priced and the rooms are in need of an up grade. The staff were very friendly. The pool and gym were good but the location of the place was terrible but if a hotel close to the airport and cheap for a quick stopover is what you want then it will suit your needs

Price, location, pool area, good food at reasonable prices

None

We were happy with our stay in a recently renovated room that was basic but comfortable. The hotel is clearly well managed and offers good facilities. The reception, pool and restaurant areas are pleasant and relaxing, and the food served was good value and well prepared. Bear in mind this is just a 3* hotel but overall it's easily the best hotel we have found in the airport area for the price. We will definitely be staying there again!

Travel tip : For Bangkok sight-seeing, take a taxi to the start of the Skytrain network at On Nut - just 60 baht (BUT flag it yourself at the main road!). Locally, try the shopping area visible a kilometer behind the hotel for a 'thai' shopping experience, better than the large complex on the main road.

nice price, friendly staff, nice but cheap massage.

need to make a u-turn whatever "in or out" by taxi.

Avana hotel staff is very kind and friendly, they always do their best to make guest satisfied, it make me feel great. Hotel does not have free wifi provide for guest, you need to pay for it, but that is cheap price by the way. The swimming pool is not deep enough, I think it only got 1.4m depth. This hotel is good for budget traveler but business.

Nightlife Tip : go to Suan Lam Night Bazaar by taxi take around 100baht, that market close around 12mn, there has many lounge and yummy food.

that good coz it near my work place

traffic to much

first we find a hotel near my work place BITEC motorshow. here is a right place close to BITEC around 5 min by taxi. Opposit hotel has a big couple department store. But it's a little bit difficult to across and long way if you want to walk there.Easily by taxi i'm prefer.one thing you have to remind it alway traffic jam on rushhour like 7:00-9:00 am , 17:00-20:00 you must to add more 30 min in that period. in otherway if you have to work around there is can safe you time if you stay near your place.

Shopping Tip : opposit hotel has 2 big mall. you can find anything there. shopping restaurant

the hotel location is nearby airport . Guest Rating: 7.7

Convenience for traveling to airport. Standard facilities in public and room areas.

Entrance to hotel road is very narrow so that made me lost. Group check-in was crowded so need to wait for the lift. Need to pay wifi fees.

Convenient hotel area with standard facilities. There is standard breakfast and varieties of food. Nice receptionist and hotel staffs.

Hotel Feature Tip : Easy for traveling to up country.

What I did like most was first of all the good service I got. They had a very good kitchen with nice and well done food.

I did not like that I did not got a warning ahead that I should deposit 1000 tbt at arrival. I can understand the deposit but would had like to got a warning.

If You like to stay for a night or two in Bangkok this is a good hotel to stay in. They have friendly staf, very good restaurant and a pool af good quality. The check in and out is very quick. In my oppinion You got realy much for Your money when You stay here.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You can easily use the tripmanager in the lobby. They are realy reliable and fix everything to a fare price

clean, decent value for money

breakfast and tv

functional enough hotel for the money, bit far out maybe for people who don't know the city that well wouldn't rely too much on the breakfast - or just stick to the toast near central bangna which has a cinema, bowling alley and rooftoop waterpark as well as the usual shops - think the indoor rollercoaster has stopped running due to the fact that it was an indoor rollercoaster!

I like the fact that even though it is a little ways from airport it is on the main road so It is easy to get to. I have always found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly

The road near hotel is divided hiway so you have a little farther taxi right because of having to go to a turn around spot

This was my second time staying at Avana. I find it is very nice after a long flight. It is a little bit of a Taxi ride but not to bad. The staff has always been very helpful and friendly. It is sometimes difficult to find Taxi drivers in the City that no where they are at.

Shopping Tip : Just a little way down the street is a Mall right next to Big C

Comfortable large rooms, clean, friendly

No english language cable TV (unacceptable for what is touted a business / tourist hotel). Breakfast buffet mainly caters for Asian clientele. Maids using sw radios in coridoors very early in morning!

Avana is a good standard budget 3 star but a little difficult to find and a long way from central Bangkok if your a tourist. Unless you are rich and take taxis everywhere the best bet is Skytrain to OnNut and then a 38 or 46 bus. I was looking for property to buy so it was a good base for me- I spent a week there. Main gripes after a week are that the cable is almost entirely Thai and not appropriate for what is an International hotel. No movies in english just good old BBC News! Breakfast buffet got monotonous- its mainly Asian- which is fine- but should perhaps cater better for the client group it has. One really annoying thing was that the maids are equipped with short wave radios and they blare out to each other very early in the morning- not a nice way to be woken up!!! Overall though a good hotel for what I paid.

Travel tip : To get to Airport just flag down a white mini bus outside the BangNa Central Plaza- takes you straight to passenger terminal for 25B (as opposed to around 350B by taxi)!!!
