it is a great value for money. Not a luxury but all basic needs were met. English spoken is not great but hey - you need a room, not conversations!

Right in the Old City, great for walking to sites.
Very friendly and eager to help 16 year old staff. Clean well kept rooms. Free fresh fruit served when you return from touring. Great location to tour old city from. Very quiet although just three blocks (5 minute walk) from tourist night club street.

the friendliness and eagerness of the young staff make the stay but only two could speak a small bit of english (or any other language other than thai) so it was very frustrating sometimes to ask any questions at all. the manager/owner (?) seems to have a day job elsewhere so is only there in the evenings but she speaks fluent english and is a problem server. the staff will sometimes phone her for help when a guest really has a problem.
transportation is the biggest problem. taxis in bangkok seem to only want to stay in their own area so it can be very hard to get one that will take you very far away although the hotel staff take on the challenge and we sometimes had three of them out searching the streets for a cab to take us to a location farther away such as the siam niramit show which we almost missed after allowing for 2 hours to get there. it's also far from the underground and elevated train system so you have to rely on taxis and tuktuks.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go to Siam Niramit one evening. Amazing high tech show telling the history of Thailand. Elephants outside when you arrive, lots of cultural dance and singing. reproduction Thai village can be toured before and after the show. Best night out in Bangkok.

good location and service ，poor facilities

the staff waited me to the midnight，my plane arrived at 1：30 am ，I had made a phone for this，but their English seems to be not good enough to understand what's midnight or after 12
pm. I worried about this till I arrived there and saw they waited in the reception.
the loction is queit good， walk to grand palace only 5 min and 5
min to khaosan road too. very easy to find good restraund near by.
the room's facilities are too poor ，only Air con. and a very small bath room ，without the toilets .
