I was very unpleased by the service standards of the hotel. After I upgraded from superior to deluxe, there was a problem with the in room safe (can't be locked), 3 different staff spent an hour fixing the safe but it was not mended. The staff promised to change the safe in the room when they make up room but did not do as promised. In the end I had to bring along my valuables with me everywhere I go.
What was worse that on the second day of my stay. I left the room at 10am, putting the 'please make room' sign. When I went back to room after one whole day of shopping in Bangkok, it was not being cleaned by the housekeeping people! It was 1 am in the morning and I badly need a shower. However, the soiled towels which I used yesterday are still lying in the bathtub. Then I called reception for clean towels and reflected that the room was not made up. The receptionist suggested that I put up the sign wrongly, I explained to him that it was not so. He replied that the towels will be sent to me promptly. I waited for 20 minutes and no one came knocking on my door. Feeling frustrated, I went down to the ground floor to get the towels myself. The desk people apologised and the fresh towels was sent to my room 10 minutes after that.
