Great location and worth for price

We had a 6 days 5 nights at Baiyoke Sky Hotel.. its my first time to Bangkok.. Baiyoke Sky was quite a busy and crowded hotel as it is very convienient to go to shopping area like Pratunum, Platinium, MBK etc..(just a walking distance)
The sad thing is they does not provide free wifi.. wifi is chargeable 400baht for 24hrs..
Room is spacious with bath tub, fridge and electric kettle..
Breakfast is nice and lots of variety but everyday is the same food..
Overall nothing negative to comment.. ideal for couple..

Busy, old and not well maintained hotel

check in at the hotel at about 12:30pm, while arrive at the front of the hotel, first impression is low-end shops at the first few floors. While waiting for the lift to lobby, you will think why a lots of people in & out of the lifts ? Finally up at lobby @ 18 floor, going straight to reception check-in, still good, no long queue, but have to wait until 2pm to check-in because room not ready. Ok, we wait around the lobby and you started sweating, feel very hot and do not feel any air-con. Well this call 4 stars hotel ? At the end, we stored our luggage there & go out for lunch. Come back at about 2:30pm, there are long queue at the reception, wait & finally check-in about 3pm @ 40 Floor. the room is big, and the view quite good. No free internet, charged at 200bath per hour or 400bath per day. 4 stars hotel no free internet ? Want to go to revolving deck at 84 floor, wait & wait for the long queue for the lift. This hotel is way to much of people and not well maintained, not suitable for leisure & relaxing there, just for accommodation is acceptable. Another thing is the hotel breakfast buffer is not good, advice not to go.

The staff are friendly and very helpful. Tours etc can be booked at the hotel, making it very convenient.
Shopping Tip:
The hotel is located right outside shopping centres and markets, so is an ideal place to stay for any shoppaholic!

Great hotel - great location

This hotel was really good. The rooms were a nice size, clean and modern. The views were magnificent (I was on quite a high floor).
The breakfast is vary varied so you should find something quite easily.
Shopping Tip:
a visit to Khoa San Road is a definite must

Large rooms with good views of the city

The rooms were large and spacious and the view was good as we got a high floor above level 60. It was a long wait getting to the breakfast area in the morning as there werent a lot of lifts servicing the area. Breakfast in our opinion was bad and we were definitely expecting more.It happened to be my birthday and the staff were thoughtful enough to send up a cake along with some macaroons.

Very regrettable the front security / worker of the hotel was very dismissive though saw us carried heavy luggage and was not seek help.
and wasn't reacting help though we cried for help while without cause we were attacked by Thai's fashion Sellerman in right front of the Baiyoke Sky Hotel
Shopping Tip:
DANGEROUS AND BE AWARE !!!don't look Clothes OR trying to buy a Thai's Blouse on the first right front of the hotel.My Bad experience hon only saw a hanger Blouse that was sell without bid impact brought my Husband and I almost struck by Thai's Sellerman.
