Go somewhere else if you can
3.3
We did not get what we expected the first room we had smelt of sewerage, after having the sink and shower fill with crap we were moved to another room which also smelt of the same, there is no mobile phone access in the Motel so to contact family we had to pay through the nose for expensive WIFI to our room, we also had to pay for a DVD player which is usually standard with the room, the staff were quite rude and it seemed to us that they did not care if you enjoyed your stay and were just after as much of your money as they could get. They spoke in their language and then all sniggered at us, I am sure they wre saying something derogatory. My husband got food poisoning from the buffet lunch and his hospitalisation was expensive, the Lobby was hot and the swimming pool was average, the rooms were old and tired and reminded me of an 80s drug house, the carpet was dirty and needed a good clean, I could go on and on but will never stay in this place again, expensive ( after you have paid for the room) and we were treated poorly.

Great hotel.... once upon a time
Close proximity to Airport Rail Link. Good view of BKK
5.7
We were upgraded to a larger room free which was a great first impression, however that got eroded away quite quickly.
Hotel itself would have been the place to be once upon a time but it hasn't aged very well. It's the little things - the elevators are slow with buttons that are hard to know if they've been pressed, the staff look worn down from hordes of tourists, the extra roll away bed we requested took 3 requests and didnt' turn up till 11.30pm.
The busy markets literally just outside the door are a blessing and a curse.
Overall our stay was ok. Not unpleasant but not outstanding.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
When in Bangkok, use the trains.

Crowded location, old appliances room.
4.7
My husband and I stayed for 5 days 4 nights at Baiyoke Sky hotel from March 20th to 24th 2012.
The lobby was not as grand as we expected, especially the lower lobby that provide nothing but the bell boy. The real lobby is located on 18th floor and although the service was quite ok and the room given was spacey but the room appliances etc were a little bit old although the hotel claimed has its renovation on 2010.
The location wise is in the middle of city right in the central area as such Scott road in Singapore.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Do not enganged with the travel city tour provided in lobby hotel on 18th floor. They suggest you for a cheap rent car but end up taking you to places that required you to pay unbelieveable prices at several tourist attraction.
