Not a luxury hotel you would think

This is an old crowded hotel with location near free markets, massage shops. Elevators are slow, confusing and always packed with tourists. The room we stayed is spacious, but the three beds are small and uncomfortable. The pool is a small one and gym is wear down. Internet is not free.
All in all, it is not 4 star, 2 star at best.
Travel tip:
The Thai restaurant behind parking lot is good and massage shop next it is very good and reasonable priced.

i thought the hotel was very well organised with so many guests and public visiting the hotel throughout the day and night. the staff were very helpful and friendly and performed their jobs very well. The bar area upstairs at the top of the building could do with a little updating, it was a bit smelly and dank, but as we did not spend any time there it did not spoil our stay.

Overall stay was great but since we checked in early mrng about 2am we were still charged full day rate....should consider charging only half day rate to attract more guests.

nice reception with fast and accurate services. the lobby is at 18th floor and from there you can take another lift to your hotel floor. therefore during peak periods have to wait for quite sometime. room is clean but bed is hard. basic amenities have no problem. noise isolation is not good. can basically hear whats going on outside. walking distance to platinum mall & platunam mall, and a bit further is siam paragon (a bit further, but still considered walking distance). to sum up, great location for cheap shopping goods and cheap (good) food by the road side just outside the hotel.
Travel tip:
Taxis waiting in front of hotel always charges a fixed rate. Try looking for taxi that charges by meter. It will always be cheaper. Watch out for pick-pockets!

It was a very pleasant stay for my Family .Hotel staffs are very
friendly .The staffs at reception counter might be a little
too busy and forgot to give a greeting-smile ! But the huge crowd they are serving could be the reason for their stress ,I fully understand that and is acceptable for me.Just that my wife
commended about it . Nevertheless , it is a wonder-full hotel
which we like !

hotel is located near the famous cloth market (pratunam)and duty free mall. it is quite far to walk to the nearest bts (chilom) if not using airport link.so not convenient for those who often travel by bts. free entrance to revolving view floor and observation desk.except this, not much special about this old hotel.
Restaurant Tip:
near to famous pratunam chicken rice restaurant.

i had stay in baiyoke sky for the first time,and the first impression given by the staffs there were great..they were helpful,warm hospitality.manp travelleres stayed in the hotel and we have to wait for the lift however that doesnt give any bad comments as i enjoyed my stay there.great locations to get to platinum mall and few other malls.just a walking distance.free shuttle to mbk.whats there to complain?amazing place to stay and definitely will stay there again.
