The buffets are good with a lot of varieties. The hotel room is clean but a bit old. Renovation needed. Very convenient for shopping. 5 min walk to Platinum Shopping Complex. 20min walk to Siam Paragon. Can enjoy nice scene at night from the observation deck at 88th floor.

The front desk staffs are unfriendly. Unlike previous year's. Renovation needed to modernised the rooms. The buffet at 82nd Floor which was more expensive than the 77th Floor, does not serve water, but 77th Floor does. The gym is closed at 9pm which is quite early. By the time we were back to hotel, it closed. Only 1 small bottle of complimentary water was given.

Overall the hotel is okay for staying and enjoying food. The fruit buffet is getting worse with lesser choices. I hope the management will plan to renovate the rooms by stages in order to compete with other hotels around that area. Poor English command from hotel staffs at the hotel information counter. Morning and night market just outside the hotel.

Shopping Tip : 5 min waking distance to Platinum Shopping Centre. Along the way a lot of small fashion shop selling cheap and nice clothes.

Service was quite good. Constantly hotel staff stand by the elevators at numerous locations to assist you. The breakfast (usually included) is really outstanding. The dinner buffet is even better - various dishes around the entire perimeter of the building. The rooms seem fairly recently remodeled. And of course the view.

The building itself starting to show its age. Surprisingly the bar on the top if the building rather than being elegant has concrete floors with the paint badly chipped away. The days I stayed the halls and the lobby had a very unpleasant odor, at first i thought it was car exhaust but I think now it was spraying for insects.

It is painful for me to say something less than good about this landmark hotel. But, the overall experience is just "okay." The location is very close to terrific shopping at Pantip (for tech stuff) or to Pratunam (for bargin clothing). But, it is a few blocks to the Skytrain (not so close in the Bangkok heat) Right down stairs there usually is street market which is fun.

Restaurant Tip : The dinner buffet in the hotel is really something special. Bangkok has so many fine restaurants that I have never had to make a reservation but for the buffet, you should make a reservation. They also have a very inexpensive "fruit buffet" on the lobby level, with a wide variety of lovely fruit. But, I was always too full to try it.

Good shopping location.

TV set is old, should upgrade to LCD.

Hotel location is good and it near to whole sales centre. Night market is in front of hotel. Daily breakfast is good as it has lot of item. Easy to identified the hotel as it the tallest building in Bangkok. Roof top sighting is good during the night, can see beautiful Bangkok night.

Shopping Tip : lot of shopping centre

room clean and comfortable. breakfast was fine.

quality of food at restaurants need improvement

at the hotel rate which i was paying, it is fare to say that the standard is quite matching . however, if the rate is higer, then i will say that the value is not justifiable because there are hotels in better location and quality if i am willing to pay an extra of 20 to 30% more .

I liked the the downstairs food mart, the tailor, and the golf range. The buffet was amazing every morning, as well as the beautiful views at night. The location is great because you can just walk outside and find shops all around the hotel!

Perhaps the decor of the rooms could be updated. Also, plasma TVs would make the room look much more modern than it did.

Overall, I found the Baiyoke Sky Hotel to be perfect for my holiday needs given that I intended to do a lot of shopping. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and catered to every need I had. The band at the SKy Bar were amazing too! I will definitely stay there again and recommend the hotel to my friends and family!

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Pratunam WHolesale Fashion building one block away from the hotel is an amazing place to shop and has a great food court on the 6th or 7th floor.

The staff were helpful, hotel was clean and well presented.

Its a terrible hotel to get to and is badly sited, the resturant ran out of carvery items just after 9am.Breakfast was so boring, i had to chase the waiters for coffee refils, and the Omlette chief disappearred, Booking into the fish resturant the reception didnt tell me i needed a special ticket.Elevators didnt always work, in fact sometimes i had to use another elevator to get to my room.Car parking was a problem to if you arrived at the wrong time of day.Check out seem to take a long time.bed was very hard.

Overall i enjoyed my stay at this hotel, but there were a few problems Like a resturant that runs out of food just after 9am at night,(fish resturant)I only had breakfast once as i thought it very boring when compared to other hotels the only good thing was watching the clouds go by,the resturant staff were not always there when needed.Coming back by taxi in the rain, it was very difficult for the driver to get to the hotel we could see it but the streets were blocked by Night markets, really the hotel is badly situated,The rooms were kept clean but i would have thought more bathroom items would have been available, as there was not enough soap.the shower could not keep its set temperature being too hot or too cold, and the bed well it was like sleeping on concrete it was so hard, my body ached the next few mornings.Would i stay in this hotel again, NO i would not i would find a better one with comfortable beds, and was easier to get to.

Friendly hotel staff, good service and very polite.good food especially breakfast, different variety to choose.International buffet is fantastic.

The only weakness I experienced is the hotel shuttle van driver who has no concern of the customers safety. The hotel management should look into this.

The Baiyoke Sky hotel is my favourite choice of hotel. My wife and myself like the environment, the very convenient shopping centre, staff are very polite and courteous. We spent most of our meals at the hotel restaurant because it is very convenient and relaxing to eat while enjoying the views. This is our 3rd stay and will definately book to stay again for our next visit.

Best location

A bit crowded

Is a recommendation from a friend, the location is fantastic, surrounded by bargain stalls and wholesale market (day and night). A few massage shops just on the left roll of shop lots at the hotel entrance, provide great Thai massage at reasonable price, is really a great recharge method after whole day shopping. Unfortunately I missed the 'Sky Restaurant' which seems like a “must” visit place, so I will definitely plan for my next trip.

great location

none really

i stayed at the baiyoke suit hotel in the month of september 2009 with my family. the hotel has good location with major malls just at a little walking distance. the rooms were nice and big and the staff with smiling faces. in all a pleasnt stay and would stay at the hotel on any future trips to BKK. also the hotel had nice and clean feel to it, unlke some hotel in BKK which tend to get a little seedy by night.

Shopping Tip : good location with major malls a short walk away.

1. Great selection of breakfast. 2. Great view taking your breakfast on 82nd floor. 3. Free access to the observation floor and rovolving roof top at any time. 4. Great night view from your room. 5. Convenienece store at lobby selling item same price as outside. 6. Near to morning & night market & platinum mall.

1. Room a bit dark & run down. 2. Check in & check out are crap. 3. Far away from sky train. 4. Hotel outside a bit scary during night time.

No doubt staying at the tallest hotel in Bangkok will give you a different feeling and godo night view from your room. Best thing is that you do not have to pay to go up to the observation deck & revolving rooftop. You can go as many times as you want at any time. Go in the evening to see the sunset when the sky turns from day to night. It is worth to stay up there for more than an hour. Try not to plan early trip. Spend time and enjoy your breakfast with good selection of food with great morning view. Only bad thing is feel unsecure when walking back to hotel at night.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : 1. Never try to take those taxi parking infront of the hotel. 2. The travel agent at the hotel lobbies are vampires. They overcharge. Try the Departure agent infront of the hotel. (purple color) Reasonable price with great service.

I liked every thing.

I have never stayed at a so "chic" hotel. It is just PERFECT!!!! Very luxurious, amazing 88 storey building. The room was almost an apartment, so big! The breakfast took me more than one hour every day, because it had so many options and different types of food that I couldn't easily choose what I would have every morning. And, looking at an amazing landscape from the 77th floor. The hotel has several restaurants, fruit buffets, convenience store, internet, golf training, swimming pool, gym, massage rooms, etc, etc, etc... Eight elevators can take us to all the entertaiment. One day I didn't even get out the hotel, because it had so many things to do there. Location is superb. Walking distance to tens of large shopping centers. Near various train stations, very modern mean of transportation. The staff is something difficult to describe, because they're so, so, so polite and kind and available to help at any moment. The room was very, very, clean and the bathroom was incredible. Huge, all in stone, bathtube, large shower area, etc... The revolving floor is a circle which revolves on top of the skycraper and you can see almost all Bangkok. And it's really huge. The restaurants are at a veryu reasonable price, the food is perfect, as the environment as well. I totally recommend to everyone

nice view from the room

I visit Bangkok quite often. This hotel requires refurbishments and is very very crowded with people coming from outside to go on the top floor, many wear masks (makes you think about the risk of getting the influenza...) you can get much better in Bangkok (state tower) . Staying at this hotel feels like staying in a supermarket or in a fabric, especially if you eat to their buffet - good if you look for quantity no quality.

The elevators are very dangerous. I had an accident and fractured two fingers of my foot at the 77th flooor because the personel told me to go inside while doors were closing = be careful, sensors do not work and personal is young and useless.

The breakfast selection is one of the best. You can find almost anything to eat regardless where you are from. Fitness is great with excellent view.

Room condition is fare. Rather basic if not old. Most important is sound of water flowing, toilet flush and other sounds from next room can be heard crystal clear. Need improvement on that.

Baiyoke Sky Hotel is definitely a good choice to stay for traders whom can shop and rest at their own time. 360 degree view of Bangkok city is what we all are looking can be found in this hotel. Which ever room you stay, you definitely find city view.
