This is my second saty here and while the rooms are a bit tired and run down they are large and the location of the hotel is very convenient for shopping and getting about the main shopping areas and to nightlife.. is surrounded by markets - good for the price i think

this is the second time i have stayed at this hotel... the rooms (exec suites) are a good size - the hotel is a bit tired as are the rooms but you do get value for your $$ here - location is great for shopping and lots to see and do without going to far... will prob stay here again - only con was this time i was in a high floor room and you cannot access the balcony

Most of lobby and reception were rather lacking in focus. They seemed like individuals there to earn a paycheck than being ambassadors of a proud brand.Generally they lacked smiles.
The living room and the bedroom of the standard suite were really dirty. The floors were massively stained and the room had the room generally had a mouldy smell.
When I asked for a transfer of room, I was asked to pay more!
Going by the room given to me, Baiyoke Suite Hotel is absolutely the worst hotel I have experienced anywhere in the world.

baiyoke suite hotel. room old but clean. we stay in this hotel several times. but this time we've got bad experience & very disappointed with the service & attitude of receptionist. when we check in we request for extra bed which have to pay in advance by cash and the receptionist promise us that extra bed will be deliver to our room in 10 minutes.
we've been waiting and waiting in the room and after30 minutes over, we check via phone to receptionist and got reply that extra bed will be deliver soon. so we are waiting again.
after almost 1 hours we call reception again and check for the extra bed, but the reply that we've got make us shock ! the receptionist shouting at us, mention us to call the housekeeping by ourselves and hang up the phone with hard ! with shocking face i came down to reception and ask one of 3 girls there who answer my phone. but do you know what the answer : they said may be i call wrong floor ? so i ask again if i call from room extension no 1 to who will be connected ? their answer is reception. so i ask again who answer my previous call but none of those girls dare to admit that one of them is answer my phone. the face of the receptionist girls are not friendly at all.
so end up i request to talk to duty manager who admitted it's fault of his staff. the receptionist girl look afraid which mean they admitted they made big mistake by shouting at customer & hang up the phone !
i didn't recommend to stay in this hotel with attitude of the staff.
Shopping Tip:
Shop around pratunam day and night you might find a diffrent item

The stay was acceptable.
The location of the Baiyoke Hotel was great but the hotel front/ lobby doesn't look like a Hotel, i guess its because the building was really old. The furnishes of the hotel room was very old as well and the bed sheets were stained but i think i should expect less since I paid unbelievably cheap for the Hotel stay. Staff performance was poor as some staff working at the reception couldn't understand english very well.
Shopping Tip:
make sure you don't get cheated. when they see tourists, they tend to mark up their prices really high especially in night markets like patpong. another tip, do not board any taxi/ tuk tuk that has been waiting around the corner, they tend to either charge you very high prices or kind of force you to places before they drop you off at your destination. lastly, do not go restaurants that tuk tuk/taxi suggested... . .. they are really incorrigibly expensive!

Hotel is a little old but rooms are maintained & staff are very good. We would definately stay there again. Right in the heart of the Indra shopping district & the night markets. Great position.
