Staff very friendly & helpful. Big sized room & clean. DVD player in the room was a big plus point too. Location wise just a short taxi ride to main locations around the Sukhumvit rd.
A bit of a walk to the main areas.

The staff was friendly and attentive. The room was nice, but the bathroom was not in good condition. The shower-head was broken so had to take a shower using the spout.
The location is really good, close to the BTS, but far away enough from the busy streets of Bangkok.
Good location ... good value. Decent breakfast.
shower-head was broken ... safe was not reset.
- Hotel Feature Tip : There is a free tuktuk shuttle to the BTS. Not all taxi's know where this hotel is, so bring a small map with the hotel location with you.

I have stayed at Bally's for four occassions this year (2008) and will stay again in Nov 08. My last stay was in Oct 1. I took 2 friends and we stayed in three rooms and the hotel placed us very close together with some juggling of rooms and they loved it and will return. The rooms are big on quality at a competitive price. All have a small kitchen if you want to cook at home. I have stayed many times in Bangkok at different hotels so I have a concrete benchmark to compare. Bally's is not an over the top tourist hotel with loud guests and children running about. It is a quiet, charming, and homey like you're at home with a maid. It is strategically placed in Suk and I love the BTS. Many restaurants and shopping malls are a few minute walk away. A state of the art 4 story gym just down the road that you can join for a month and have access to all the classes and equipment. Give it a try, pay a few extra dollars and stay in the new room which are upgraded, you won't look back.
Bally's has full hotel facilities in addition to their apartments. It is situated in Suk, close to all the great attractions and easily accessable to BTS and MRT underground. Far enough to be quiet and tranquil at night. A Tuk Tuk available to the BTS if you prefer, staff always helful day and night. The pool is small but adequate and great to sit by and read a mag. with limited noise. The rooms are bigger than most with plasma televisions if you want to hang out and watch a DVD.
The Tuk Tuk should run to at least 10pm. and start at 7am., currently it operates from 9am. - 5pm.
- Shopping Tip : Catch the BTS to the Weekend Market. Great for huge discount on all your shopping needs. MBK cheap food court for all tastes, range of shops for clothing and electrical goods. Pantip Plaza for computers and electrics. Remember wherever you barter, even the department stores will give you discount but you must ask.
