Relaxing, chilled out, helpful staff.
Comfortable bed, relaxed atmosphere, helpful staff
6.7
My stay was relaxing and comfortable. The staff were helpful and very obliging; I extended my stay by one night and it wasn't a problem. It isn't as modern as some hotels, the TV wasn't very good but it was clean, my bed was comfortable and the restaurant was good.

parking procedures need attention, etc.
8.3
the hotel has a restaurant off the lobby and on accessed by the parking lot. i would have eaten in the parking lot restaurant except for horrible crap they were playing as an excuse for music. management should know that nobody can relax and eat to that noise.
parking lot procedures should be addressed. i got to the gate after a two day stay and they wouldn't let me out without getting my ticket stamped. a seasoned traveler who uses a car may think i should have known, but i don't usually drive my car and when i do i rarely have to get a ticket stamped. i don't know why they would allow non-guests to park there in the first place. their parking lot is small. at the minimum check out should mention to their guests about the stamp.
good things: the subway (underground) station is right outside the hotel so it is very easy to get to the major parts of bangkok. there are things to see in the area also.
Travel tip:
If you park your car at the hotel be sure you get your parking ticket stamped.

Usual mass hotel
Pros: Location in front of the train station, clean rooms and very nice swimming pool area open from 7 to 7. Well-working Air-Conditioning.
5.3
Cons (Pros see above): Old establishment, which needs an update in much things, especially the bathrooms. The staff was very rude when I arrived without the Voucher printed out. They just sent me off to get it printed, but as I didn't have any internet connection it was difficult... just managed it thanks to a nearby hostel! They really should be more polite in such a situation, this was a very bad experience! Also, it's quite scandalous to ask 535 Baht (!!) for 24 hours of Wifi-access which worked VERY BAD. Nowadays, the Wifi should be included in every hotel, or at least not so ridiculously expensive. I didn't order a smoking room, but the smoke from the other adjacent rooms went into my room making it difficult to get a decent sleep. You find way better solutions in Bangkok for the same price!!

Very poor experience. Unhelpful staff.
4.3
this should have been a good experience!
due to road work in front of hotel, it's now difficult to access from hua lamphong station- which was why i reserved there. the hotel cannot help that.
but, when i arrived, the surly staff took time to find me a room ( and the bell boy disappeared ). i had the distinct impression that i was second rate because i'd booked through agoda. the room had no free drinking water, no individual shampoo, only unco-operative device on wall,no coffee or tea making items and (yes, i'm getting picky now ) the light switches were situated only on one side of a king bed. too many short cuts being tried here.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Take a tuk tuk to and from the station. It will only cost 60 baht.
To walk (natural option) you have to cut through the MRT access which means opening your cases for security check!!

Hotel conveniently located.
next to mrt and national train station, big room, short walk to chinatown.
6.3
i enjoyed staying at this hotel only for it's good location next to the hualampong train station.
the room is good size but the bed is not comfortable. the hotel does not provide free wifi and guest has to pay for it. however, i think the hotel should not mark-up ( add charges) on top of the original wifi cost from their it service provider. not a "guest-friendly" hotel in relations to it's overpriced items.
