Comfortable Hotel with great City View

Was presently surprised about the Hotel, It was really Great and they updated us to a Superior room which was really Great. The staff has to be a little more friendly... they seemed very busy... but the location was good...and we had access to lot of local restaurants and cafes!

This hotel seems to largely rely on package tours going though it these seemed to largely comprise of either young European up market back packers or middle aged Chinese and Taiwanese tours. That said while there were problems with the room they were fixed promptly by staff when requested. The hotel was clearly a five star hotel once but has fallen behind the times and in need of a refit, the food was not that inspiring but ok location wise it is handy for the station if you are taking the train to the Cambodian border and china town but away from Sukumvit the main tourist area on Bangkok.
Travel tip:
You Can take the metro for two stops and then transfer to sky train to get to Sukumvit in about half an hour.

The hotel mainly caters for large tour groups so they don't have much to offer families in the way of maps or leaflets. However, there is a metro station right outside and Chinatown is just down the road so it is conveniently located. The rooms are clean and well furnished, the restaurant is ok and the pool is a good size, although it is built up on all sides of it so gets no sun. If you are looking for location and somewhere to sleep, you could do worse. Breakfast was a bit bland but evening meal in the restaurant was better. Cross the road and go to the left of the metro station for a good information kiosk with lots of maps and leaflets that the hotel reception didn't have.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Biggest golden Buddha in the world is located in a Wat about 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel, during the two day celebration of Chinese New year. frankly we were a bit disappointed by the rooms, who were small and not really the kind of room you want to spend time in. (also because it was full of bulky furniture so not much space to move around) but the pool is nice, a it's a small walk away from chinatown, where we enjoyed shopping in the small streets and ate good food from street vendors.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
massages in this area are hard to come by and twice as expensive as in for exemple kaosan road area.

the hotel is convenient and located near by train station with very clean small room and tiolet.you can reach the china town on foot within 10 minutes and you can get you food on the road side from the small local hawker.the price was not so cheap but it still a good choice if you want to get on train by tomorrow.
