Great Location and good hotel
The Doorman was very helpful in giving security tips and finding taxis

Walking distance to to Big C, Platinum Fashion Mall, Gayson, Central World Plaza and Prathumwan market and many other way side shops. Best place to stay if you are for shopping. Boat rides to 'Bobey market' at very close approximate. Indra market can reach within 5-10 mins in a 'tuk tuk'.
Rooms were clean and they clean everyday in our stay.Staff was very polite and helpful to the maximum they can. Gave us tips in traveling, money exchange and safety as well. Breakfast was same everyday, but satisfactory. If you need the hotel taxi service, inform prior to 1 hour. You can keep the baggage at the hotel after check out even.
Overall we are satisfied with the service they provide and value for the money.

i used to stay in bangkok city inn whenever i travel to bangkok for business trip. i love to stay because of the reasonable room price and polite staff with breakfast served.

The hotel looks old with strong wifi connection. Clealiness and the services from the hotel still acceptable. As it is a 3 star budget hotel, please do not expect too much. Location of the hotel was great. There is only a few minutes walk to Central world and others shopping malls.

rooms are small but just nice for two person. if you are up for walking about town, this is okay as u can walk to all the famous mall like pratinum mall, paragon, siam center, big c, central world mall and so on so forth. the street food during the day time is quite good. just right down the hotel there are a few massage center. haven't got the chance to try but went in for inquiry and they don't look dodgy. overall, if you dont ask for much like a 5 stars services, it's good enough trust me.

Simple and Basic if you are not fussy

i had stayed in this hotel a few times and i come back due to the good location. staffs are friendly and flexible when it come to request. they even have free wifi. breakfast nothing to shout about but enough to fill your stomach.

I am a regular customer of that hotel since 1997.
So in other words, it's a good price/quality ratio.
500 awards, for what? I could not use my existing points, thanks anyway.
I am very disappointed that you charge me an extra night because of a cancellation/re-booking issue...
Shopping Tip:
Take the boat bus (10 bahts) and go to Bobe market, clothes are very cheap (wholesale price) but I can can speak Thai and it's a huge difference

3 star hotel with small rooms
greal location, near to central world, platinum mall and erawan shrine

this will be my 4th time staying at bangkok city inn. great location with easy access to the various markets and shopping malls.
was given a room with a view of the private apartment of the resident's room so we have to keep the curtains drawn through out the stay. thus room light was dim most of the time.
overall, its still a good stay with a affordable price for the budget traveller.

Cheap in all aspects but acceptable

The hotel looks like is has been there for at least 20 years and there haven't been any renovations. Still it was clean, reception personnel was nice and the breakfast was ok. In addition it is in a central sport of Bangkok where all the shopping is happening. Also walking to the Skytrain takes 15min and the Skytrain to the airport takes another 30min.
