This is a old hotel mostly for asia people,u can see that in breakfast their they only serving asia food and some very bad coffe. The location is perfect so close to shopping and that is we come back to this hotel. Staff working in the reception is not very nice, not seems to not realy care about customer and that is one big negative thing about this hotel. One other is that the room are starting to get realy old, and the carpet in the room start to smell bad from everything people drop on it. So Iam not sory if I gone recommendet to friends

Location is perfect

Breakfast is not good

Bangkok City Inn has a very good location for sightseeing and shopping because lots of shopping malls and convenient transportation nearby. Yet, the customer service is just of fair standard. For instance, upon our arrival to the hotel from airport, as we just had a 1000 baht bank note and the taxi driver claimed having no change for me, I asked for the hotel's help but the receptionist told me that she just had two 500 baht bank notes for me to change. At last, I needed to change the 500 baht bank note with nearby shop. I still recommend this hotel for budget travelers.

Good location.

Fair room condition.

Bangkok City Inn has one of the best location in Bangkok for travellers on an economical budget. You are close to all the major shopping centres which can keep you busy throughout your visit there. Alternatively its a short taxi ride to some of the more famous markets like Chatuchak market and of course Chinatown market. Rooms were clean, although hallway carpets could do with a change. Tour desk was very helpful with taxi booking going to the airport at normal rates not inflated hotel rates.

Location, Location, Location at a price you cannot beat!

Hallway carpets had an old musky smell.

  • Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Conveniently located for shopping and just around the corner is a massage place Indara which is great for a massage after all that shopping!

Old hotel but clean. staff very friendly & service is very good. the meals are very nice in the restaurant or delivered to your room. free breakfast is great & there is a good variety of food at breakfast. I was staying at the Indra Regent for 9 years but as I am single I was paying for a double which was 3 times the price I am paying at the Bangkok City Inn. I will be staying there again on my next visit to Bangkok.

Everything

Nothing really

  • Shopping Tip : A great hotel a great location & a great price

This is my 3rd trip to Bangkok, and my firt time to stay at this hotel ( the first two at Baiyoke Sky and Arnoma Hotel). Definitely a "value for money" hotel, i cant complain too much. Location is really great as it is in near ( 5 to 10mins walking distance) the the upscale malls ( Zen, Gaysorn, Central, Isetann), supermarket ( Big C), money changer shop ( Super rich- offers good rates) and bargain areas ( Pratunam market and sidestreet night markets), as well as the BTS . If you expect to be out most of the day ( shopping, sight-seeing )and just need a decent place to sleep/rest at night, then this is an acceptable place for you. Believe it or not,( minus the ambiance) i enjoyed the breakfast here better than in Arnoma. However, i personally would not check-in here if i'm with my daughter, as i feel the environment is not child- friendly ( carpets look really worn-out) and the surroundings outside are not really pleasant. I checked-in here with a female cousin, and we are just out to shop early for christmas gifts.

1. relatively good location becuse it is walking distance ( about 5 mins) near the places/shops one would want to go to-- Gaysorn/Zen/Central World/Isetann for the upscale shops, and Pratunam market and sidestreet night markets for the bargains

the carpet is old ( definitely needs to be changed ) the elevator badly needs improvement as the wood panels are coming off there's a certain negative smell inside the room

  • Shopping Tip : cheaper to shop in the night market sidestreets along Pratunam (pratunam market)and along Arnoma hotel/Gaysorn area rather than Chatuchak! believe it or not! You just have to know how to haggle nicely for good deals. dont eat in the sidestreets as looks dirty; much better to eat in the food court in Big C ( 4th level), reasonable price and definitely more safe/clean

As long as you are not looking for a flash trendy hotel this place is good, everything is nearby, shopping, restaurants, transport. Downside is the hotel is not maintained adequately, it's a bit old and tired, a little money spent on it would go a long way. But don't let that put you off after all how much time do you actually spend in the room

Location

A bit old and tired, the hotel not me.

  • Nightlife Tip : Don't go to the local bar/clubs go to a reputable one

I have been to Bangkok several times and stayed at more well known places. This was my first stay at BK city Inn and I was traveling alone this time. I was worried about the safety and cleanliness before I get there. However it was above my expectations and had no problem at all during my 5 days stay. It is located right opposite the Centralworld and Internet Cafe of Thailand Tourism Bureau & Foreign Currency Exchange is just across the road.

Best location. Friendly staff. Safe.

More English channels on TV. Need to replace the carpet in some of the areas. Breakfast area gets very crowed sometimes.

  • Shopping Tip : Across the road, Internet Cafe run By Thai Tourism Office charges much lower compare to other places around this area.

Close to all you need: large SC, stations, restaurants, foot massage and money changers. The dinner dishes at the hotel were excellent also. We stayed at a deluxe twin bedroom with an extra single bed. The room size was not so large but just good enough. The bathroom, towels, sheets were clean.

Convenient location but not facing to a busy road, hence quiet enough.

The room floor carpet looked old.
