Better TV channels for late night viewing after hard day shopping and eating :-) Very convenient location near the best money changing rates, the famous Erawan shrine and the new Centre Point (ex-WTC)
If you like hawker-food, very good variety just outside hotel.
Shopping Tip : shopping, famous Erawan Shrine and great hawker food plus best money changing rates in town.

Extremely courteous, helpful and friendly staff. Close to street markets and nice walk to Siam Square. Small rooms and rather basic, no internet Staff made me feel welcome and were always keen to assist with directions and suggestions. Hotel is surrounded by street markets, department shopping and other forms of entertainment nearby. My room was on seventh floor with view of Bangkok skyline and nearby klong. All you can eat at breakfast included in the cost; AC worked well and plenty of hot water but room a little tired around the edges. However, for the cost it was worth the money.

Old, rundown furnishings,the mattress was rock hard.The rooms are dirty,the bathroom was filthy, smelled like sewer. The free breakfast was fantastic.The sheets didnt look clean.The floor also not vaccum throughtout our stay.Staff's service was lowgrade, not very friendly at all.The staff were pretty rude and unhelpful on the whole.

Convenient bus service to China Town.
Condition of rooms need to be improved. Good location for shopping - very central: for cheap affordable apparel and high-end clothes and accessories; close to shopping malls in Siam-Square, Central World, Sogo and Pratunam market. Everything within walking distance. Convenient bus service to China Town - in front of the Big C Supermarket.No problem obtaining cheap good local food. Enjoy local and imported beer at the square in front of Central World.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : A good and cheap massage at 250bht for 2 hours at the parlour at the right corner of the hotel, but you have to walk through a restaurant.

Staffs are very friendly, helpful and approachable The bed is a little bit too hard. Generally, the location of the hotel is very ideal for those who like to shop. It is near some of the big shopping centres like Big C, platinum mall, central world, Zen, all within walking distance. However, the skytrain station is quite a distance away. But overall its a good place to stay in.

Cheap hotel rates, easy access to most of the shopping malls in Bangkok. Breakfast seems to be the same everyday.
Security at the hotel not tight enough. There was an incident that happened on 12 Dec 09. When I came back from shopping and after collecting my room keys from the hotel concierge, I discovered that I couldn't opened my door using the key that was given with. I made a check at the key and realised that I was given a wrong key with a different room number. I realised what will happen if I use that key and went into others hotel stayers room to steal their stuff.When I approached the hotel concierge, she told me that she heard wrongly on the hotel room number that said by me. Overall,I would staying at the hotel is a pleasant one except for the security part that need to be tighten.

Location of hotel is strategic enough to return to upload your shopping bags before going out again No water boiling facility in room. At least provide hot water dispenser on each level. No hair dryer Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Very convenient location and very friendly and helpful English speaking staff. Taxi is readily available just at door steps, although major shopping centres are all within a stone throw away. Pratunam market is also just across the road. BTS station is just a few mins away for easy access to other areas.

Staff are polite and helpful.
Rooms are clean. Value for money, considered its good location in the shopping area, the rate is good and rooms are clean.
However for those who like swimming or want to use the gym, the hotel doesn't have them. This sort of justifies the cheap rate they charge.

The centralised location of the hotel in main shopping area of Bangkok.
Hotel room was clean. The breakfast choice was limited, but acceptable.

great location for those who like to SHOPPING, 2min walk to isetan, zen, platinum fashion mall. breakfast no much choice. toilet a bit run dowm. its really prefect location for those shoppers, everything in walking distance like centre world plaza 2 min walk, platinum fashion mall 3min walk, pantip plaza 5min walk. we stay in this hotel for 2010 countdown and luckily we got a higher room that can view the fire work just infront of our window(really close, not more than 100m). another thing was the size is quite big for a hotel room at this price. one thing i really like is even its located in a crowd area, but its really quiet during night. definitely will stay in bangkok city inn again. happy new year.

-Cleaner than I thought
-Well-maintained bathrooms
-Breakfast is a buffet, not bad for being included
-Great Location -Food isn't the greatest
-In business district, not good for partiers who want to be in the actual city where all the fun is. Fantastic for the cost. Rooms were better than expected, and the location is great for shoppers. Can walk to all big malls, close to MBK, pratunam markets. Also close to sky tram.
Travel tip : Make a reservation. It is way more expensive if you go straight there.
