Clean and friendly staff, good choice of restaurants, breakfast buffet such an amazing choice and so well presented. Far enough away from the main city to be relaxing

We upgraded to a river view, the problem is noise along the river from the barges that travel up and down 24/7, so take earplugs, the fridge in our room was also very noisy.

We had a really enjoyable break, the hotel complex has thought of everything to make your stay so good, staff were always friendly and helpfull, they even left me a birthday cake in my room and a card from the hotel. The hotel really made the holiday for us including the free boat to the over side of the river which runs regularly, this is the easiest way to get about as the roads become grid locked especially if it rains.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The hotel organised a long boat for us to take us sightseeing which included the local floating market on the Saturday, alot easier than travelling to the more popular floating market, the concierge booked restaurants, taxi´s and are a real font of information.

Beautiful property with great restaurants and a lovely pool area. The rooms are spacious and very nicely furnished with a very comfy bed and pillows.

It is a 20 minute ferry ride to the nearest sky train station. House maids were very noisy in the halls and we had to ask them to be quiet several times.

Beautiful resort style hotel located on the river in Bangkok. Huge property with great restaurants and a lovely pool area. Rooms are nicely furnished and spacious. Very comfortable bed and down pillows. Gives you the feeling of being out of Bangkok. Lots of palm trees.

Shopping Tip : There is an attached shopping plaza directly in front of the hotel which we didn't discover until our last day. Several restaurants, pharmacy, massage, etc.

Good location. Many and fine resturants. Excellent garden and pool area. Free boatride to city center and skytrain. Kind and service minded staff

Some of the rooms are facing the highly trafficked river bridge.

This hotel has and excellent location at the riverside and is easily reached by public taxi (cheap) from the airport. From many of the nice rooms you get more or less view of the Chao Paya river. Riverside restaurant has a fine breakfast and an excellent and well sorted evening buffet. Traders Vics serves excellent food at very nice and cosy riverside tables. Free and frequent boatrides to city center and skytrain. Rooms are nice with good and silent air condition. Tranquil and peaceful garden and pool area with lots of birds, flowers and trees. If you are lucky you may spot large lizards in the garden.

Restaurant Tip : Many cheap restaurants and shopping places in the nearby plaza

Service was excellent, location on river with free boat shuttle service

Restaurants were a bit expensive except the River grill

This place really was a perfect location, the service was excellent and the concierge was so helpful in helping us organize trips, taxis, and anything we needed to know. The location on the river with the free boat shuttle service was fantastic. We would just ride the boat at night for a romantic view of Bangkok. The restaruants were a bit expensive but their River Grill was not and their food was excellent. At the Italian restaurant we had to send back 2 items so would not recommend them. The breakfast buffet was truly magnificent and delicious as well as the

Travel tip : Rent a longboat for 2 hours and go up the canal, visit the Temple of Dawn then have the driver drop you off at the Palace. A great experience!

wonderful pool and garden area, nice staff speaking very good English, nice restaurant directly at the river.

everything costs a lot, like 15 min internet about 130baht, one page to print 30 baht, some rooms do have doors that doesn't close absolutely, we did have space about 10 to 15 cm between floor and door.

It is a very nice hotel with a wonderful garden area and a very nice pool. It is very relaxing to stay there. The hotel rooms are nice and clean. The furniture is very convenient. We didn't like that our door to the doorway didn't close completely. There was a very big space between door and floor, so that you had the feeling of no privacy. We stayed just one night, so we didn't change the room. The staff is very friendly and speaking a very good English. The breakfast buffet is fantastic and the meals are served really nice.

This hotel although located a outside of the downtown area, is well worth the visit. The marriott boat ferry is fun, and easy to use. My teenagers loved the rides to downtown Bangkok. We did notice that the average age of the children staying seemed to be grade school rather than older teenagers. The food is good, especially breakfast. The gym is nice. The pool area fine but if you are a sun bunny you'll have to get out there early.

A really good hotel! Fantastic food, and the rooms are really fivestar! Nice staff, and everything have a very high standard!

The only negativ thing was the food at the riverboat, even thought the trip was really nice.

A fantastic hotel i absolutely will stay in another time! Great staff and the have a friendly approach. Good food except on the riverboat. The rooms have a very high standard and the beeds are like a dream! The poolarea is really nice, even though it was a bit crowded when i was there. The shuttleboat that goes across the river is Great!

Shopping Tip : Take the free shuttleboat to the train that goes to good shopping around Siam!

very friendly and helpfull staff nice riverside location breakfast buffet is outstanding

Poor value for money

We were there for christmas. A choir welcomed us as we arrived. The very friendly staff showed us to the room. The room was a bit of a disappointment. We have seen better value for money. The room was a bit small and in this price category you should expect a seperate shower not a shower in the bathtub. I also believe that wifi internet should be offered inclusive in this class hotel. not charge 6x a normal rate for a hassle with a cable. The location by the river is nice, but don't expect a view of a temple as some pictures may suggest, that's the river cruise. Breakfast was super.

Warm welcoming decoration beautiful hotel in all respects

nothing worth mentioning

We were very pleasantly welcomed by the hotel personnel. Were very much impressed by the hotel's excellent and very tasteful decor including that of our room.Special mention shlould be made of the lush tropical garden. Our room was a junior suite having all the amenities one can desire. Fairly good service at the terrace restaurant. Buffet breakfast was one of the best we experienced in Bangkok. We highly recommend this hotel.

Okay, the rooms are nice, but it's expected to be nice and cosy. Many channels in TV. The hotel ambience is nice, the staff is very friendly and professional. The view to the river's not bad.

Furnitures in room seem a bit old. The air con vent is dusty i noticed, The paint at the small balcony is falling off. The swimming pool's crowded.

For the price we paid, we expected so much more. For example, more extravagant room design, more lush surroundings, a lap pool. Maybe i was thinking or trying to compare to the beach resort in Brunei- The Empire Hotel too much. Cos The Empire sure beats Marriot by a whole lot. This hotel is sure thoughtful by providing an easy access to a nearby plaza of cheaper food/restaurants ( for people who don;t like to spend lavishly on mediocre food inside the Marriot ).

swimming pool shopping mall across street from hotel

somewhat pricey if doing business it is too far away from bangkok city to be proactical

I spent the last 2 days in BKK at this hotel on a splurge. I treated myself to be pampered b/o the stress of the airport closure. the hotel swimming pool is the main reason to come to this hotel. It is very relaxing and the outside spa pool is fantastic. The prices for this hotel have gone up by 33% over the last year, going up faster than other comparable hotels so I only go here when I need to treat myself. there are cheaper and just as nice alternatives on the other side of the river. If you want peace and quiet and dont have much need to go into bangkok then this hotel is a good choice

Excellent Hotel. Nice and calm situated with a beautiful river view. Connection by hotel boat to city center is perfect. Hospitality and service are good. Employees very friendly. Rooms are perfect equipped. Advice for each visitor to Bangkok who preferred a high standard hotel for a reasonable price. Exclusive restaurant who offered a great range of Thai and International food. Breakfast is impressing.

lovely rooms, comfortable beds, good food, peaceful pooolside

watery cocktails

The staff on arrival were very helpful and brought us to our room making sure we knew how to use all facilities in the room. Pool side staff were prompt and helpful with menus and drinks but were not pushy. Even though it is just across the river from Bangkok the peaceful atmosphere makes you feel as though you are much further from the city. We ate at the waterfront in the evening and the staff were very friendly and helpful and our food arrived promptly. The only disappointment were the drinks. we tried several cocktails and all were fairly weak and tasted just like fruit juice. even the Gin and Tonic was so weak you could not tell if there was any alcohol in it. Overall it is a lovely bit of luxury to escape Bangkok.
