Bar, Coffee Shop, Swimming Pool Limited choice for breakfast This is the second time we have stayed at the Bangkok Palace Hotel. Do not let the exterior or location just off the highway put you off. The hotel is lovely inside. Efficient check in and nice lobby area. We had booked standard rooms this time. They were clean but much more basic than the deluxe rooms. The Deluxe Rooms are well worth the extra money!
Nice pool although a bit noisy due to proximity to the flyover.
Breakfast choice is a bit limited, but they do have a nice coffee bar instead that sells good pastries etc, and you are a 2 min walk to shops & restaurants. 10 minute walk to Baiyoke Sky Tower.
Good stay but would definately pay for deluxe rooms next time.
Shopping Tip : Take a taxi to Suan Lum Night Bazaar - about 60 Baht (£1) - great shopping and fantastic food court with loads of local food & seafood at good value. Order teh local beer (Singha / Chang) as the imported Heineken, Warsteiner etc. is very expensive!

great location - near pratunam, bayok, pantip, highway,,, - large rooms, rich brakefast, freindly staff. did not look for and did not find any weaknesses this is my 4th staying in this hotel over the last 3 years. got used to it and would not look for any other hotel. enjoyed every moment. if you look for a nice hotel at a fare price - bangkok palace hotel will provide best value for your money.
Travel tip : in front of the hotel you will find the best traditionnal thai massage - Pechada.
