Incredible hotel at the heart of Bangkok!

The Banyan Tree Bangkok is incredible. This luxury hotel has everything you need: clean and luxury rooms, excellent staff (kind and efficient), good food, an amazing pool and spa and a good location (especially for business travelers). Make sure you get the Banyan Tree Club Room and you will not regret!

Great hotel with views from room, but bad location
the hotel atmosphere is very relaxing

the service of the hotel is great, but only the concierge. According to the hotel, they provide free transportation to the nearest BTS station as the hotel location is not very convenient. However, during our stay, the tuk tuk was broken down and yet they do not have any other backup transportation which is very disappointed for a 5 star hotel.
Hotel swimming pool is very small, the smallest i have ever seen in all the 5 star hotels.
signs to bars and facilities are not clear. the entrance of bars and facilities in the hotel are hiding within another. eg, you have to go in a restaurant in order to get to another. but you only see 1 sign out there.
selection of breakfast is limited compare to other 5 star hotels. which is quite disappointed considering the price we pay.

the mini bar is kind of a bit expensive, but the food from the restaurent is great and had excellent in room dining experience, love the sky roof restaurent. not only the room decoration is great but also the staff are very helpful and kind.

Impressive hotel overall

This hotel booking was for a short weekend getaway, our main objective was to enjoy the luxurious massage from Banyan Tree. Eventually, there was no disappointment and the experience was flawless. The staff provided great hospitality and the therapist was very skilled. Overall decor of the massage place was beautiful and grand. On our arrival, we went for drinks at the rooftop bar and the view was simply overwhelming. That was an ideal place to chill out at night after a long day.

i am not sure if this is of the banyan tree 5 star resorts fame. the hotel seemed good with good staff but the rooms though very big seemed quite old. it is located near the australian embassy. good for business traveler

Somehow the staff found out about a leakage in the original suite which I was allocated. The manager arranged for a new and bigger suite and personally helped moved my belongings to the new room.
Staff were well trained and service was always with a smile. Never heard a single "no" either.
Travel tip:
Its about 10 to 15 minutes stroll away from PatPong where food, night market, massage and etc are located.
