Great hotel with great service

overall, the hotel staffs were friendly, they greet with a smile that came from the heart. booked a deluxe room, and requested for high-floor room, but was informed that the hotel was fully booked. however, they offered a mid-floor club suite which was awesome in the size and environment. the vertigo skybar on the 61st floor offered an extremely nice 360 degree view of bangkok skyline.
the only negative issue was that free wifi is only provided in the public area, not in the room. therefore, we have to make our way to the lobby in order to get connected to the internet.
Travel tip:
Familiarise with the hotel location, and the BTS rail map as it is within walking distance, save the trouble from language barrier when asking for direction to the station or hotel.

Great service and good location
The spa was absolutely wonderful and the staff are really efficient and friendly. We loved Vertigo and Moon Bar which are located on the top of the building and it was a great place to watch the sun sets over Bangkok. There are lots of street stalls within walking distance and a great Thai restuarant about 100m away called Baan Karnitha.

we were upgraded to a premier room when we arrived as they didn't have a king sized bed deluxe ready. that was really good of them instead of keeping us waiting. the spa was absolutely gorgeous, worth every penny we spent there.
however, the room looks really tired and a few things were coming apart like the towel hooks in the bathroom, the folding contraption for luggage and one of the bedside lamp was not leaning to one side. looks like its really time for a goood renovation.
but we did enjoy our trip.
Travel tip:
Go up to Moon Bar on 59th Fl to watch the sunset
Try the Thai restaurant Baan Karnitha down the road
Although the rates were on the high side, must try out the spa

I stayed at the Banyan Tree with my family members. We had two deluxe rooms. Loved the toiletries. Room is very spacious. I stayed at the Banyan Tree about 8 years ago on business when it was very new. At that time, the rooms were very nice and new. Today they are still good and functional but a little old. Could do with some upgrading e.g. new paint. Service in this hotel is very good though. They refill water in rooms - very generous with four bottles in the morning and at turn down service.
Location is good for business travelers and for leisure and shopping, taxis are readily availabl wiht the friendly doormen always ready to help with a smile. Breakfast was also very good. Loved the hot soyabean. It is the best I have had.

great stay and the staff certainly makes my trip pleasant. limited selection at the breakfast buffet though but good enough for me.

must try at least a drink at the vertigo on the roof top of the hotel building. i wanted thai food but with sake from the japanese restaurant upstairs, and the servers are very flexible and is able to accomodate this without any hesitation.

We stayed at the Banyan Tree in Bangkok for three nights and we had a fabulous time. Every day, we were treated to a different scent in the room and as we were honeymooners, we were upgraded to a suite on the 58th floor with a magnificent view of the city and the Chao Phrya River! It was awesome!
