What a beautiful way to experience the "Land of a Thousand Smiles"! This property is truly magnificent, Located in the embassy / business distract which is one of the best neighborhoods in Bangkok. The hotel is beautiful, the service impeccable and the accomodations luxurious and inviting. The spa is an oasis of peaceful bliss after a long week of shopping, site-seeing or business. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would definitely be back !

Friendly serivce but rooms in need of an update
Central location, friendly staff, comfortable room with great views
8
overall i enjoyed my stay but must admit that i expected the furnishings to be better maintained. the furniture & woodwork in the rooms needed updating or, at the very least, a sanding & varnishing. window sheers were stained in my room & the taps needed to be changed. the overall look of the room felt like it was stuck in a time warp so an overhaul might be just what the doctor ordered.
Restaurant Tip:
There were many restaurants in the surrounding area - Zanotti in Soi Saladeng offers great value for lunch (yummy Italian) & if you are looking for a five star experience, then Nahm at the Metropolitan is definitely worth a visit.

Spacious room, great service
quite a few authentic thai restaurants, massage, pedicure and medicure, hair salons within walking distance

Room is spacious, living area and bed room are divided. Service is great at most times! Breakfast has a good variety!
Restaurant Tip:
2 nice authentic thai restaurants, one is Naj, within walking distance. Also try out the pedicure and medicure beside the Naj, wonderful!

Great Locations but not as good as expected
prime location, quick access to Siam Central

as we all know banyan tree is one of the most established hotel brands from thailand. i visited the one of its brand in macau and i expect something similar in Bangkok as well. but in fact it turns out to be an opposite. the hotel is not as good as in the picture. it is actually quite old and poorly maintain. it has a 5 stars solftware and not the hardware to be honest. not recommended for those people who want a cool, comfy design hip hotel or either standard 5 stars business hotel. i would only recommend this to budget travellers.

luxury hotel with nice room and good smell

check-in is efficient. conceiege is very helpful in recommending shopping, massage/spa (although they have their own very famous spa)for me and help to communicate with drivers.
spa is luxuary but not too expansive. with gym, swimming pool and many resturant choices.....you don't need to go out but simply stay in hotel. food quality is good. i left early in morning and they provide breakfast box.
this hotel will not disappoint you. i will stay again next time in bangkok.

Met my very high expectations
Service was great; room was great; and food was great.

i had thought to try this hotel many times in the past but it never worked out. i had tried the restaurant at the top and the whole place had a very relaxing and cool feeling to it. and the hotel was just that, an oasis in the city. the people all through the hotel were wonderful and when you travel a great deal, you can tell the difference between a truly great hotel and an ok hotel. that difference is the people and the banyan tree delivered on all points. it was a lovely stay.
Nightlife Tip:
There are two bars in the hotel. The one on the top floor gets all the attention but the one on the 52nd floor is more private and much more all weather. Grab a martini and watch the city light up around you.

Lovely hotel but lacking in service
Love the scent of the hotel and the toiletries provided

Our experience upon arrival was bad,
the doorman/bell boys need to buck up.
On the whole we had a good stay.

had a great time there. the room had very high standards and the room is very clean. there is also fragrance in the room. the only problem is that the location is rather far away. if you go during the raining season it might be a bit of a nuisance. i did not try the dining options there except breakfast. breakfast was good but there isn't the wow factor.

Terrible location if you are on vacation.

1st day breakfast at 8.30am was a disappointment - poor selection and quality.
Hotel is located in the financial district, hence there is nothing for tourist immediately outside the premise.
Service level is generally good, but is still a couple of level lower the a western 5 star big name hotel chain. The swimming pool is really a dip pool with a good share of sun.
Restaurant Tip:
The in-house Japanese resturant is a must try during lunch time. Exceptional quality for US$17 per pax.

Good hotel but could be in better location
Nice gym and spa, excellent breakfast on club floor and main coffee shop

I had stayed at the hotel several years ago and the service seem better and chirpier then. I still enjoyed the stay but these days with worsening traffic in Bangkok, I would prefer better access to the Skytrain. The traffic going toward Sathorn Road could be awful most of the time.
