staff is almost alway able to give an early check in which is convenient for travellers from the US arriving early in the morning.

We paid 800 baht for a hotel driver to take us to the Grand Palace and the Reclining Budda and waited for two hours whilst we went round and then bring us back - a lot less hassle than haggling with the locals.

If you want a mid-priced hotel in a good location the Bel-Aire Princess is ideal. Would recommend this hotel to friends.

The staff is friendly and helpful. You can negotiate a great rate on transport with the hotel taxi. Across the street there is always a line of disreputable taxi drivers offering unbelievable rates (does anyone ever go for that?)
- Restaurant Tip : Nearby "Foodland" grocery store has a great diner that is always crowded with locals and expats. Great place for an inexpensive breakfast, lunch or dinner.
