the spa was great. best service at the hotel. not a shady place and no offers for "special massages". legit. price was pretty close to us standards, so a little expensive for bangkok.
not a great view from the room, though.

First time staying in outskirt area due to flood, but looks like its a good try cos the rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable to sleep in. However, wider spread of breakfast and bigger pool will be excellent.

Good alternative airport hotel
Fairly new establishment with all normal amenities. Good for stopover between flights. Shuttle to airport.

I normally stay at the Novotel at the airport in Bangkok but it was fully booked when I check and I decided to try this hotel instead. The hotel is further from the airport but there is free shuttle service for the 10-12 minute ride. It seems fairly new and has the normal features of a 4 star property. The neighborhood doesn't offer much unless you enjoy small local markets and sidewalk eating establishments.
Hotel service was variable and english speaking capacity was limited foe many staff members.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Only stayed the one night so wasn't able to discover much in or around the hotel. The lobby bar did have quite a nice wine selection, with wine store in a wine vault off to the side of the bar.

the hotel provides nice rooms with friendly staffs. the location of the hotel which is near to suvarnabhumi airport is just perfect for travelers who have to stay overnight during the transit. the hotel also provide free shuttle bus service between the hotel and suvarnabhumi airport which is great. we can use this service to reach airport rail link and go to the city and vice versa. whenever i have to stay overnight in bangkok for a transit, this hotel is always my choice.

too far from airport to be called an airport hotel.
worst location i have ever seen....there is nothing to walk to.
there is no gift shop, commissary or snack bar to get food or drinks....you are forced to order from the one restaurant they have.
Nightlife Tip:
There is no night life or shopping near this hotel or the airport in general. If you want something to do stay at a hotel nearer the city center.

Best Western Premier Amaranth Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel offers free shuttle every 30 minutes from the airport to the hotel and return, which is very convenient for people having flights with over night stopovers. The staff were friendly and helpful, check in and out was a breeze. It’s a good hotel if you want a quiet and modern hotel close to the airport.

Excellent all around. Great buffet breakfast - make sure you have this included in your room rate. Rooms are almost new. Great bathrooms, balcony, etc. We will be staying again and again.

Include buffet in room rate.
