Font desk staff horrible attitude

I had read some of the reviews and comments about the front desk staff. An understatement.
The young man that checked me in was extremely rude. I would've left if I didn't have a meeting.
What is funny is Thailand has a reputation for being some of the friendliest people on the planet and all my other hotel stays in Thailand have proven that to be very true. The Thai people at the hotels I've stayed have been exceptional. Super human friendly.
The restaurant staff were very nice. But the amount of food they were offering for the price was robbery. It was painfully obvious they knew you had no other options because of the location of this hotel. So it was rip off time. I could eat as much as I wanted at the Bangkok Westin buffet for dinner and for not much more then what this Best Western was charging for 2 lamb chops at lunch. It was crazy.
The area all around the hotel is not a good neighborhood. You are stuck.
Between the front desk attitude and the restaurant prices this is a hotel to be avoided. Close to the airport...sure. But you will pay for it. Go into the city or find an alternative near the airport. Again this hotel is to be avoided.
I'll never return.

I booked on agoda the wrong date so we "arrived a day earlier" than we should. The hotel staff quickly fixed and helped me to contact agoda without any fuss.
The room was nice and looked new

van pick-up drop-off; great 24/7 restaurant w/fresh food (late arrival); follow-up on early wake-up (3;15am) & transport call

...for late arrivals and/or departures having a quality 24/7 restaurant is a big plus!

Great hotel for rest before your trip back
Comfortable room and service was great for the price

not far from the airport and schuddle will take you there except for early morning when one runs every hour not half hour. shops are a short distance away but you have to take a taxi.
Restaurant Tip:
Food at the hotel good but expensive. Take a taxi to Lotus shopping mall plenty of restraunts and reasonable food prices.
