5th time at this hotel, better than ever
clean, great value, near the airport, wonderful staff, free airport shuttle every half hour

This is the 5th time staying at this hotel, and each time it has been excellent. Finally they increased the frequency of their airport shuttle to every half hour, and that really fixes the only thing wrong with this hotel. Although I have read some comments that criticized the food in the restaurant, I happen to think the quality of the Thai food is quite good, and if you want a nice quiet meal, you can be served out by the lovely swimming pool (we were the only ones eating there, while the restaurant was packed). Sure it is a bit pricey if you have been out in the country for while, but for a nice hotel stay the food is not unreasonably priced. The small fitness center is clean and new, and barely used, so you can get a great workout in. I haven't used the spa, but it seems to be popular and people look satisfied coming out. Likewise, I haven't used the pool but there were several people swimming who looked to be having fun. In summary, this is a very nice hotel, and great value for someone staying nearby the airport for an early flight. The rooms are nice and clean and the hotel staff is really good. I highly recommend the Amaranth.

a great airport hotel if a little faraway from the airport but with a free shuttle bus, no problems whatsoever
Hotel Feature Tip:
Try the amala spa and the lemongrass tea, skip breakfast as its cheaper nearby.

Great location

we stayed here because we had a stopover in bangkok and didn't want to wait at the airport for 10 hours overnight with a toddler. the hotel was only 15 mins away from the airport and we took the shuttle although we had to wait for a while because of the time that we arrived.
the room was big and very comfortable. check inn was really quick. the building is so new and room very clean with great amenities.
unfortunately we didn't get to use any of the hotel facilities since we only stayed there for 11 hours overnight...real pitty coz it is a great hotel.
excellent value for money

Great place to relax before or after a long flight
the swimming pool area is so relaxing and the food is some of the best that i had in thailand.

We only stayed for 8 hours here as my girlfriend was battling a bout of food poisoning before we had a long flight back to the uk. the room was big and comfortable and as my girlfriend slept i lazed by the pool witha couple of nice cocktails and ate some amazing fish. All the staff where friendly and i'd recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to relax before or after a long flight.

We were very pleased when we arrived at this hotel. It was quite close to the airport. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The hotel offered free interet in the room. We ordered room service as were very pleased with the service as well as the food. The offer airport shuttle service every 1/2 hour and are willing to drive you to the airport very early in the morning. The shuttle service was on time.
Hotel Feature Tip:
I guess the thing that I liked best about this hotel was that there offered free internet service in the rool. When I asked for a printout at the front desk they were more than willing to oblige.

Good Transfer Location near BKK Airport

my fiance and i arrived at different times, myself arriving very late. the hotel had a shuttle from the airport there for me in just a few minutes. i was very happy about this because last year when i arrived alone, there was no shuttle and i was taken to the cleaners by a not so honest cabby. this time, my fiance, who is thai, arranged everything well for us, as she arrived at the hotel earlier than i. as before, the room was very clean and functional. modern, yes, comfortable..not even close! overall, i would rate this hotel 4 out of 5 stars.
Restaurant Tip:
watch out for the tom kha hed, mushroom soup, if you don't know...it is extremely hot!!! wanted tom kha pak, but got the mushroom one instead. whew!!! ask about "spicy" levels carefully!

Excellent hotel about 15 minutes from the airport, good service and half the price of the Airport Novotel. Very new with good clean rooms.

Excellent Hotel....great atmosphere

Was to short to really comment !However overall imptression very good. Atmosphere pleasant and welcoming as yiou are and greeted at reception. Rooms exteremely comfortable and good atmosphere.
