Nicely designed hotel (if perhaps a little sloppy in execution) and not too big. Located just outside the busy area of Banglamphu, walking distance of the river and the Chao Phraya Express boat and well known to taxi drivers. Disappointing though to have to walk up three flights of stairs after a long day of exploring Bangkok.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Rama VIII pier is only used during rush hour, so use either Thewet of Phra Athit piers - nice walks to Thewet past the plants market and to Phra Athit past the park or street vendors on Chakradongse.

good location, with clean big rooms and polite staff. was hectic location even though good and you walked out on to a main road so hard to get taxis to stop for you. i was pleased to find I wasn't miles away from the center like last time, so overall was happy with the location of the hotel. The staff were polite, not in your face friendly which suited me and they helped me loads as my bag never showed at Bangkok airport as the airline had lost i on the way then when they found it 12 hrs later the staff took calls and get me updated to get my bag back which was very nice of them.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : good central location.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Within 2km walk, you can visit Grand Palace, Golden Mountain, Khaosan Rd., river,... You can catch the ferry/boat (10 bath - 70 cents) behind the Golden Mountain to go to City Center (Siam square) to avoid terrible traffic of Bangkok.

Shopping Tip : Close enough but far enough from Khao San Road. Depends on what you like.
