Room is good, locations is good and near Kaosand Rd
Too small bathroom, the curtain not good and too bright in the day time.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : In the day time should going out to Saim square and in the night time to Kaosand road.

The rooms is nice & cosy. Very clean & the staff is very friendly & helpful.
There is a problem with their shower. The water is either very hot or very cold even you have adjust it.
Overall we have a pleasant stay. If they improve those minor things, then it would be perfect. It would be nice if they provide more choices or varieties of breakfast selection.

Close to everything, It is just a 10 min walk to Khao San rd.With a tuk tuk just 3 min.
The Hotel has a very friendly staff.
No elevator, if you're staying on the top floor can be a climb with those temperatures.
The Hotel Swana is a very nice boutique like hotel. It is close to the Khao San area. And close to all the tourist sites.Easy acces to the all areas in BKK from there, like Pratunam and sukhumvit.there are some small restaurants near the swana hotel with some good food. But the food in t the hotel is very good too.
The only thing that the hotel have to care to is the shower, it is very difficult to get the temperature right.Or it is to cold or it is so hot that you would burn yourself.
But I would reccommend this hotel.
And I will come back again
Travel tip : If you want a taxi or tuk tuk, get one by yourself from the street. Not take the ones are waiting in front of the hotel.

Very clean, good air-con which worked, very nice room and bathroom. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Some nice street life of the local people in the little streets behind the hotel. Can also get your washing done and massage in these back streets - perfectly safe for a wonder.
Not much around the hotel - money changing etc but only 20 Baht to Khaosan Rd if thats what your into - or a 15 minute walk.
Could have really benefitted from a pool.
Hotel trips cost more than double the price than same trips booked on the Khaosan Rd (we booked Kanchanaburi day trip for £10 while hotel booking same trip for £26p/p).
Food not very good. Breakfast not impresive but fills a gap. Would eat outside hotel for any other meal.
Overall a very nice clean hotel with good staff, but a bit out of the way - but this also makes it a bit more quiet - which is good. Fine for couples, but not so much for families. Good air con which is so important. Good price on Agoda, wouldnt pay full going rate as advertised.
Hotel Feature Tip : If your looking for a massage or washing then the streets immediately behind the hotel offer these services for the same prices as Khaosan Rd.

Clean, comfortable, close to Skytrain and nightlife
None, but this is a hotel/apartment... but a benefit really because you get a full kitchen. Depends what experience you want!
I was only staying here for one night before I moved on to Chang Mai. The hotel was nice, clean and very comfortable. They even upgraded me to a suite! It was very close to the Skytrain, business district and quite a good nightlife/clubs right on the doorstep! Staff were very friendly and gave us a late check out when requested, even though they were very busy! Would definately recommend, and go back myself.
Nightlife Tip : The nightclub next door, think it was called Bed Club, gives you free entry if you show your keycard for the hotel.

Price, location away from the touristic areas, close to the river and Tewet neighbourhood, convenient rooms.
Far from skytrain and metro, average to poor breakfast, no green areas
Confortable rooms with aircon, according to a 3 stars hotel. Quiet, no noise from the street coming in the rooms. Average to poor breakfast. Location away from downtown and the tourist attractions, needing taxi or bus, or boat from Tewet in the ChaoPraya River. Reasonable priced hotel. No gym. Paying internet available at the lobby.

Great location, good value.
Difficult to find, even with the address - we had to get the taxi driver to ring the hotel so they could explain the location
Best Western Swana Bangkok Hotel is a neat city hotel slightly bizarrely located under a flyover in the old town of Bangkok. Although not promising from the outside, it is a tranquil haven away from the hectic Bangkok world beyond. The rooms are clean, staff friendly and breakfast good. For cheap options choser the Khao San Road, but for something a little better the Best Western Swana is a good choice.

Fairly clean, breakfast was ok
Not the best location, no elevator, staff was so-so
This hotel is not easy to find, call it the Swana and you will have better luck. There are food carts and a few restaurants near by that you can get outside food from. The hotel staff isn't very helpful they aren't rude. If you have bad knees or any walking disability I would book another hotel the flights of stairs can be challenging. Breakfast was fresh and tasty but if you are there for more than 3 days the selection seems too limited. All in all I would stay again, you get what you pay for. the value is there...no pool.
Travel tip : When taking the Taxi (or tuk tuk) tell them Phranakorn Swana hotel.

Convenient for Old City and Royal Palace etc.....staff friendly and helpful
Tea in hotel coffee shop too expensive when 10~ service plus vat are added.
The hotel is convenient for visiting the Old City, Royal Palace etc...although the heat in Bangok means People from cooler climates will need to take taxis or tuk tuks rather than walking. Not much to do or see within 10 minutes walk. Clean rooms and helpful staff make it a value for money stop for a touring base of Bangkok sights.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Walk a short way from hotel and hail a tuk tuk or meter taxi for quick, cheap and easy way to get around .

Nothing around the hotel, a bit noisy. Staff a bit unfriendly.
The hotel is OK for a last minute booking. I think it met the Best Western standard, but nothing special about it, just didn't want to stay right in Khao San road.

Rooms look very nice, beds comfortable.
Breakfast was uninspired and small. There is no lift.
I spent four nights at this hotel and found it to be satisfactory overall. Room facilities were of a reasonable standard. The staff were quite helpful, for example when I discovered that the shower cubicle leaked, they sent someone from maintenance straight away and moved us to a different room with no fuss. Be warned though that hotel staff do not have accurate information about the tours which they re-sell. I booked a half-day all expenses paid trip to Kanchanaburi, which ended up having a bunch of 'extra' costs and taking the whole day as I got dragged to a bunch of other places I didn't want to go. The lack of an elevator was an unwelcome surprise especially as I was on the top floor.

location is not good indeed.
You all the time face difficulty to find the hotel. None of taxi driver knows the hotel. Whenever you go out from the hotel, better take an address paper at the reception. Location of the hotel is very bad and you cannot find anything at there. Need to walk about 20 min. to get Khaosan road. Room is small and nothing special with two star facilities. You can find many better hotels even at Khaosan area.
