Close to Kho San Road, but not too close. Friendly, helpful staff who speak English. Internet available for 1 baht per minute.
THe road feels like an alley... I walked alone at night on it, but if you are with someone it would feel safer, I imagine.
This hotel is clean. The staff was friendly and could speak English. The breakfast was a simple, same meal each day. Nothing too fancy, but decent. TV worked. A/C was great once I figured out how to work it. I will be staying at this hotel again when I go through to BKK twice more.

Lovely big room, balcony, a/c, very clean, and included breakfast was delicious. Staff were very friendly
Location not near any public transport (as it is in old city)
Had a very nice stay in Boonsiri Place Hotel, Bangkok. The rooms were spacious, well decorated and very clean. Good bathroom & balcony. A/c was a welcome relief after a hard day shopping. The buffet breakfast also went down a storm. The staff were very friendly (esp as we checked in at 4am in the morning!). The only recommendation I would make is that the map which the hotel website provides is printed out in English AND Thai, as our poor taxi driver had no idea of where to go & we got a bit lost. Overall, a very good experience & I would stay there again.

Noise, surrounding area culture shock.
i will always stay here when visiting Bangkok, i love Khao San Road and this is just around the corner, the rooms are sufficient with a western bathroom including bath and shower. there are internet facilities and the front desk staff are very helpful when it comes to tips and advice if you are new to bangkok. Great Choice

some of the streets near the hotel are a little bit scary at night
we were at the hotel for 2 nights, its very close to all the big temples (few mins by walking) and also close to kahosan.
The room was ok, the delux is much bigger, but ofcourse in pictures the room is nicer.

Nice clean rooms, friendly staff.
Nightmare for taxi driver to find, area of hotel not so good for travelers, overpriced for this type of hotel.
After reading some reviews i was really looking forward to my stay at boonsiri place. Unfortunitly it wasnt quite what i expected. It took the taxi driver ages to find this place. Not surprising as it on its own in a poor area. I found this hotel was far too overpriced. Khosan road offers far more hotels at far less a price.
Nightlife Tip : Hit khosan road for some wild parties.

nice breakfast restaurant with appealing view and mood.
Room was not clean, we had many ants in our room. Our cab driver could not find the hotel. We had trouble finding tuk-tuk drivers or cabs that new where the hotel was, it is kind of hidden.
If you are looking for a budget hotel this place is okay, but I do not recommend it. The location was very difficult for cab drivers to find. There was only one person working there it seemed. I did not feel very safe there, and every night you could hear the noise from the streets so we had trouble falling asleep.

Nice breakfast and the staff was very helpful. It is walking distance to the National Museum, Ko San Rd, and the palace is a bit further but possibly by foot.
Very basic hotel in kind of a creepy area of Bangkok. The nightlife on the street can be kind of noisy.
This hotel looks quite nice on their website. The reality is that it is down a small street that is very dirty and a little bit creepy due to the amount of transvestite hookers around. I felt safe walking around....Bangkok in general is safe but this element made my stay a bit uncomfortable walking back at night. The hotel is pretty basic with everything you need. A descent value for the price and a good breakfast. The hotel is quite small and can be noisy between the street life and the staff cleaning in the morning. Overall a nice place to stay.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : It is a short walk over to the National Museum and then a little bit further to the Palace and docks for a boat ride. Tuk Tuks and taxis are readily available near the hotel.

Basic, simple hotel.
Tours available for a good price within the facility.
Excellent Breakfast.
This hotel was quite comfortable. The staff were quite helpful and very friendly. Great location too.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Beware of the over friendly strangers who speak good English. They will try to take you to all the over priced places and rip you off.

Well located near main sites such as the royal palace, clean, well maintained, helpful/professional staff, well priced.
Some of the staff could be a little more friendly, breakfast ok but not great, poor access to Sky train / Metro. Sometimes a little noisy at night/morning.
Very good hotel located within walking distance of Khoasan Road and the Royal Palace.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take meter taxis not tuk tuks and insist the meter is turned on. Never listen to 'helpful' strangers who say an attraction is closed or that you aren't dress appropriately for it. Often they are scamers.

the hotel is clean and the room have space. the location is nice, next to khaosan road. it is easy to go to all the tourist attractions in old Bangkok.
the pillows are awful and the room we had, next to the street was very very noisy. so much for the sleep... the street of the hotel is also the prostitutes' street. not to recommend for families.
the price was no bargain but fare.

Great rooms, great decorations, helpful staff, good breakfast, 7-11 next door.
Located on dirty, noisy street with no clean restaurants around, noisy from 5am-10pm.
Boonsiri was a gem on a dirty street. It is very clean and decorated wonderfully. We had a corner room so it was noisier, but not too bad. The street is unpleasant, but no one bothers you and it is close to shopping and tourist sites. Tuk Tuk drivers were generally very good and the staff will arrange taxis and tuk tuks for you. The breakfast is basic, but for me (American) it was quite enough.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Close to shopping and most temples/tourist sites. Beware of aggressive tuk tuk drivers though. We only had 1 experience with such.

Reasonably clean, airconditioned and spacious rooms, paid internet access in lobby
Breakfast very simple, no amenities or shops outside hotel, street noise level is high, bed linen had marks despite laundry efforts
A simple hotel, apparently close to central city locations but few drivers know the place. Generally clean although bed linen in our deluxe room had marks despite being washed. Breakfast was served in an outside cafe next door, not too pleasant on a humid morning. Overall, value for money but not for a long term stay.
