I was lucky that I happen to check in with my Thai friend. At first front staff picked up a room facing nosiy room facing highway. I was advised from my Thai friends that at the front, staff talked each other and picked up this room for me because I booked a room via Agoda in Thai. I requested another room, then staff told me to wait one hour. One hour later, staff said wait for one more hour. Then come back to front desk again, staff told me there is no room yet. I aked for room again. Then they said they found a room. I checked a room with my friends and found this room was ready even from in the morning. Lessons what I learned is whether I should book hotel via Agoda again or not. Because this was my second similar experience during my trip to Thailand.
Shopping Tip:
Central Plaza is good shopping center as well as convention facility.
hotel is renovated nicer than when it was operated by Sofitel.

overall, i was not very impressed with this hotel. i was expecting a lot more considering the price and the centara name. i will not return.
pros: close to central ladprao shopping mall and the shower had very nice pressure. the decoration was modern and stylish. the bed was comfortable.
cons: room was smaller most hotels in this price range. no bath tub. the wifi in room was poor. the room service was average and over priced.

it was a pleasure to stay at this hotel everything was really a pleasure. the rooms were clean, staff well services to their guests, access to the best market in asia via the shuttle bus, breakfast area was clean and the food great. very nice shopping centre connectesd to the hotel and it is only a 20 minuter train ride into bangkok central. i would have to say that for anyone not to enjoy this hotel experience they must be either very difficult to please or are just a compulsive complainer

when we first day checked in to hotel there was a bad smell in the toilet and we have complied the same day and no action was taken to rectify, after 2 day later they change the room and the room they have given us there was no slippers and no basic amenities in the room and they said that all these were out of stock, so our stay were very unconformable.

the italin restaurant is excellent great food great service, buffet is nice with greart variety of food. enjoyed shopping at centra shopping mall. the water from ac system was leaking at the last night of my stay.
