Shopping Tip:
check out platinum fashion mall 5 min walk away. for higher end shopping, there's isetan smack right beside the hotel or siam paragon 4min walk away.

Unbeatable location but little dent on service
No hotel can beat Centara Grand at Central World's location

this is the 3rd time i stayed in centara grand at central world hotel, i chose it because of it's superb location; it is located right on top of central world shopping centre, the hotel lifts takes you right down to central food hall (20 steps walk thru the carpark), you don't have to worry about entertainment if weather is bad outside as this mall is so comprehensive.
i stayed here with my 2 young kids and they both loved it, we stayed on the executive floor this time but i have to admit that the room is smaller than what i expected, and the toiletries are always not enough, shower leaks out to the whole toilet floor and the hair dryer is missing.....
but overall i still think this is a good hotel, i wouldn't called it 5 stars as the deco and service is not quite there yet, but if you are going to bangkok with young children then i highly recommend this hotel to you because of it's location.

Good hotel, but over priced

The location is excellent, located just right above the Central World shopping mall in Bangkok. It is just a 5 minutes walk from the BTS station and is close to everything you need.
But the service level is far from perfect, the room doesn't reflect the price I paid for neither. Accessing the hotel after 24:00 is stupidly difficult as most of the entrance are shut down together with the mall.
Over all, save your money for somewhere else.

Best location for shopping, convenient go anywhere and luxuary hotel

great location for shopping. the hotel is located in center of bangkok where surround to big shopping malls. plus, hotel can be connect to bts (sky train) which make the transportation is more convenience.
to buy tour in hotel, i recommend to check in detail of that tour. some tour is just drop you there (at the place) but not really give you enough time to enjoy the place and recommend do to expereince the attraction.
Shopping Tip:
Walk from hotel to Siam square and try Mango Tango (Mongo dessert shop)

the hotel's price is at the middle range, but the service and accomondation is of top quality. There are 3 meals a day at the hotel, and the staff is very helpful in all aspects. The rooms are clean and tidy with fresh atmosphere and view everyday and night. The food around the area is the best, + the shopping places.

Great Hotel at Best Location

the hotel is very nice, they provide 3 meals per day, the cost is in the middle range, and the location is in the middle of town. all the major shopping center is located within a 10 km range. and udnerneath our hotel is the central world hotel. the bts is right down the hotel, and traveling around is just so so convient and exciting. there is the silom road with lots of night market selling things and messages and spas. i would definelty come back here again.
