Nice but not worth the money!

Hotel reception was not very friendly nor knowledegable about your reservations when you book through this site. Even though they had my reservations, the staff tried to give the impression there was a problem. When I requested to check-in 2 hours early, the staff tried to have me pay extra for another an upgrade. When I said that I would just go to the spa for 2 hours instead of pay for the upgrade, suddenly my room was ready. The spa was great and was offering a 3 hour special for $80. The beauty salon was also great! I loved that I received a 15 minute head massage when I requested a shampoo. The stand alone round tub was a nice feature in the room but there was a lot wasted unused space. The deluxe rooms reminded me more of a boutique hotel. Some of the restaurant staff should attend remedial training to provide better customer service. In addition, a lot of the staff did not speak english. I loved the tour office which provided useful tips, on time pick-up/drop-off service and best places to visit at reasonable prices. If I stay here again, it will only be because of the tour service because there are plenty of hotels close by that offer the same for less money.
Shopping Tip:
Hotel is connected to Central World Mall which has 7 floors. It is walking distance to Platinum day market, Siam Discovery Mall and MBK mall and vendor booths. Great location if you want to shop to your heart desires.

Great location with very modern design
the hotel located on top of a shoppingmall in the middle of the city, great access to cinema, restaurant and shopping.

Centara Grand Hotel is located on the centre of Saimsquare close to the BTS and department stores. Furthermore, execlusive lounge is open 24/7 for quests who stay at the execusive floor. This lounge provides light meal, aternoon tea or coffee, and etc for hotel guest. Also the stuff is very helpful.
Restaurant Tip:
Central world has many various restuarants such as Japanese, Chinese, Thai food, and etc.

Great location with spacious room

my two friends and i stayed in centara for 3 days. the stay is great, the hotel's location is ideal and centralize.5 mins to central world. a short walk to plantium and pratunam market. absolutely love their room service, delicious breakfast and supper, worth the price and wait. we will definitely stay there again.
Shopping Tip:
Take the lift at bangkok conventional centre level 22, to level 8 and walk through the car park, it links to central world directly.

Restaurant Tip:
Blue sky restaurant is my favorite with a beautiful view on the top of the building on 55 floor, good to chill and nice dinner, food there is so dilicious and look great

Lobby lacks "wow" factor despite spectacular position on 23rd floor.
Bedrooms quiet ordinary for 5 star hotel.
Staff helpful.
Shopping Tip:
Do not expect any good shopping bargains in Bangkok; prices often as expensive as anywhere in Europe.

Fantastic hotel with strategic location
Great location, new building, well equipped rooms

A very well-rounded hotel. Strategically located in the heart of the city, I simply have to go down for foods, entertainment and shopping. Connected to a very good mall and train station.
The rooms are very well featured, spacious, complimentary high quality mineral water every day, clean and comfortable.
Building is fresh and well maintained. Will definitely come back to stay.

Wonderful stay, the lobby is so beautiful, staffs are very helpful. Room's big but the furniture don't look luxury. For 5 star hotel, it's enough. But I think if it' more than that a little, that is perfect. Good rates too.
