Will visit again but needs improvement
We stayed at the hotel every year (at least 3 times already) due to the excellent location for shopping. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Love the spa with good promotion. We were given a corner room this time on 36 floor, and it has a big round tub with no separate shower stall like the other rooms. The shower curtains are messy, and unavoidable water drips on the floor. Breakfast crowd was overwhelming and felt that the staffs had difficulties managing tables for guests. Ordered tea and was forgotten to delivered. Popular fruits were emptied quickly and not enough to replenish. Some guests took too much food and didn't manage to consume at all (referring to a table with a huge bowl of unconsumed rambutans). I wish such wastage should be discouraged by the hotel. On Sunday morning, which was more crowded than usual, there was a long queue to get a table, the restaurant staff told us that there was not enough tables (average waiting time of 20mins). Directed us to 54 floor, and said the buffet layout is the same. Totally wrong info and waste of time, as 54 is the UNOMAS Restaurant, it was closed and the lift couldn't access the level at all. We ended up at the club floor lounge and conveyed to the staff about the situation. Huge disappointment, very little food spread and most were already emptied and not replenished at club lounge. Asked the conceige to help us get a taxi upon check out, conceige said there were be extra charges as they booked via GrabTaxi ( we're ok with extra booking fee) , however the cab assigned to us is in terrible terrible condition: extremely dirty and smelly. Driver was driving recklessly, speeding, bad transmission and faulty gear box. Not to mentioned, driver was coughing badly with phlegms. Although it's not the hotel's responsibility to manage external taxis, conceige could have gone a little extra mile by helping us to take a quick check on the taxi condition (at least cleanliness) before they assigned it to gue
