I stayed in the hotel on 31/12 for count down purpose, the floor I stayed is 32/F. The view is great with 180 degree city view and the fireworks on 00:00 01/01 is wonderful !!!
I will recommend this hotel to everyone who travel to Bangkok.

Great service, location and amenities
Attached to Central World, next to Siam Paragon, not far from Siam Discovery!

Great for shopping, centrally located within walking distance of all the best malls in Bangkok! Siam Underwater World is located across the street which is great if you have children. But the traffic is terrible, anyhow, isn't it true for all of Bangkok!?
Hotel Feature Tip:
Book a room which allows you to use the World Executive Lounge, which serves breakfast, snacks every few hours and open 24 hours for drinks and the smoking lounge is also located there and they also sell cigars!

Great location but it's a bit too big and oversize

The service is not so good, probably due to its sheer size of the place. However, the view for the new year fireworks was the reason we booked the hotel and it was very good. The view is perfect for the fireworks. As for the room, it's a bit tatty, and service is a bit slow, but overall good at the end. Hopefully they will be able to make sure the service is much better than the place will be very good.
We also order in-room dining, which was OK for a hotel, but I felt could be better.
Shopping Tip:
Close to Central World and all the shopping centres so you can walk to any place you want.

Excellent suite!

Booked the suites for new years count down. Was impressed by the room size @65sqm. The windows are big and we can see central world just in front of the room. Fireworks and concert for the new year's countdown party are just right in front of us without having to squeeze with the crowd. The room is clean and big and amenities are adequate.

You could literally shop till you drop if you stay at this hotel. You can go to Central World shopping mall by going to the 7th floor, then head out a bit--Voila, you are in the Central World Tops Market already!!!
Extremely convenient!
Free wifi and the room is fabulous!
They even provide you with complimentary peppermint infusion! And lotus bath crystals!! The lotion is also fragrant and not sticky!
Highly recommend.

Upscale, over-rated, too fancy by half

great...in theory.
the room was small my bkk standards, certainly for an upscale hotel. access is not easy...it is at the back of central world, but entering from mall (or going to/from) is not easy or straight forward. to get into the hotel, you have to go to the ground floor, take an elevator to 23 (iirc) so you can check in and go to 44 or whatever floor. not simple, not convenient.
the room layout was very modern with the bathroom being a semi-circle in the middle of the room. this gets back to "great in theory", but not in practice. the bathroom really ate up a lot of real estate and was poorly situated. the bathroom layout itself was odd, and the circular bath -- again, neat in theory -- was not very practical.
there is a reason 98% of the rooms in the world are square or rectangular. even if it were to work, the execution here missed the mark.

Great location for shopping
Good location for Siam Paragon and Centralworld shopping

Good hotel and good value for money of shopping. Very handy for Siam Paragon and Central World shopping centres. BTS skytrain is a bit of a walk if going further a field but quite easy to access. Good breakfast spread also and nice pool.

Comfortable stay !
