stayed here was very nice and beyond my expectation. staffs are very helpful, great breakfast and i'd like to visit its 55th level bar again.
location is really in a central of bangkok. easy to go anywhere, nice decorated room and great view. neat and clean, means suer clean hotel. just 5 minutes from siam station

Attractive hotel with good restaurants

We were attending a one-night event at the Centara Grand so we decided to book a room there. The front desk representative graciously upgraded our room to an executive level room (without the executive level benefits) so we thanked her. Unfortunately, when we entered the room it was reeking with cigarette smoke. We contacted the front desk again to request a room switch (ANY room other than that one) due to the pungent cigarette smell. We were told the rooms are non-smoking, which we knew, but we replied that the previous occupant or someone else clearly violated that policy. Regardless, the same front desk representative got us a smaller room in a lower floor but with no smoke smell--which was most important for us. I kindly advised the representative that they should enforce the hotel's non-smoking regulations by penalizing those who violate it. I would recommend that if the maid smells pungent smoke as if someone was smoking in the room (to differentiate between someone simply having smoke smell on their clothes or on their person), the maid should discreetly alert the management staff for a review of the room and let management make a determination without any repercussions to the anonymous tip by the maid. Just my humble opinion to identify these scofflaws.
Restaurant Tip:
Restaurants can be pricey but pretty good. Look for their specials.

Comfortable 5 Star Hotel for the Shopaholics

a highly recommended & value for money 5 star hotel especially for shoppers. not only is the hotel linked to the huge central world mall, it is also within walking distance to the fabulous fashion wholesale centre platinum mall. besides, the hotel is a mere 10 mins walk to siam bts station which in itself is link to yet another great shopping mall in paragon.
in addition to its excellent location, the hotel stays true to its 5 star rating with spacious, comfortable rooms & excellent f&b outlets.

i totally oved staying this hotel. istayed there for 1 night and regrets no prt of my stay. i currently resides in bangkok and stying at this hotel make me want to go live there. the recreational area, food, and living facilities were great. it's also located in the heart of bkk shopping zone. i definately recomends this hotel to all ages.

located right next to siam bts and within walking distance to the best shopping centres in bangkok

This is our second stay at Centara. However, the room size is much smaller than the first time, thus we realised not all rooms are equal in size.
There is always frequent cable disturbances (every 5 minutes) when we watch our favorite Fashion TV channel which is pretty frustrating.
Shopping Tip:
Take a 5 to 10 minutes walk to Platinum shopping mall which is a wholesale fashion centre. It is very unlike the others in Pratunam as the selection here is much better and reasonably priced. About USD15 a dress. A must visit.

cleanliness and maintenance for room 2811 need a lot of improvement.
first impression of the hotel outlook is impressive. bell boy is very attentive and helpful. the checkin counter is surprisingly located at 23rd floor with very nice decor and view. checkin staff is well trained and good service.
we booked a superior room and they free upgrade us to delux room. we were delighted with the kindness.
however our nightmare begin once we step in to the room. the spider web was spotted under the telephone boot. dusk is easily found on table, toiletry tray, wardrobe and hanger. the room look like is not been occupied for a long period of time.
browny stain found on bathrobe which is very disgusted. the round shape bathtub is amazing if it is without a stain on it.
we give it a miss.

Everything is good even the buffet food, the service crew, front desk, the hotel near to all shopping mall and market. We love this place.
