First i only booked one night for new years eve. Only because i wnted to be on the rooftop at 12.00. When i got there, even i f i was customer i had to pay. If i could get in, wich i a coult not 3min before midnight. They where ful they said. Well. TiP for the Hotel: Ask guest who have rooms if they want to be at rooftop at new years eve when they check in. If they say yes, the hotel shoul resevate a "ticket" for this person. So paing guests never hve to turn in the door.
Second: I only booked this night and was very happy with my room. I booked 3 more night that day, same room. "World executive king siz bed". Now when i got my new room. It was different. It was a level up to the executive floor. I conplain about this to the executive staff. The fact that i did not get the deluxe room on the executive floor the first night as i had paid for. All they had was excuses, blaiming computer problem and stress cause it was new years eve. bla bla. No offering of compensasion. Either fro that, they where very friendly.

while this was a nice hotel, i do not think i would stay there again unless the price was good. the staff were nice but not overly helpful. they were nice enough to upgrade us to a deluxe room when we asked if one was available but there was no information about the hotel and what was around. when we asked the concierge he at least gave us a map but had difficulty understanding where we wanted to go. the restaurant and bar prices are exorbitant and the food not that good. the location is excellent, in the center of the city next to the sky train so easy to get everywhere.

Great location for New Year Eve in Bangkok.

I was there with friends to celebrate New Year Eve. I booked the rooms that accessible to Executive Club Lounge. The drinks are provided all days and especially the happy hour (17.30 - 19.00) with the alcohol drinks and foods. A bit crowdy but it is New Year (who cares!!) Stunning view of fire works at the mignight!!
Shopping Tip:
You can access Central World Department Store. Go down 7th Floor a connection is there and very convenient for shopping.

Centara grand at Central World hotel is one of my most favorite hotel in Bangkok. The hotel has the connecting floor to the departmentstore and the way link to sky train. It is so easy to travel to any important places in Bangkok. The Hotel also offers the excellent spa that I always use spa service from the very morning time till late in the night. I and my family really enjoy staying in this hotel.

i would recommend this hotel for anyone that wants to have everything in one place. the hotel is very nice and big. the room also nice. the good thing with this hotel is, it is at central location. and they have big shopping mall. you can just go down and the hotel attached to the shopping mall. the mall will have everything you need. restaurants, shops, cinemas, etc. it is also near the bts train station if you need to go somewhere.

booked this room for new year's eve so that we could be in a great location for the central world festivities. since the entire block was shut down, it was very convenient to be able to just pop in and out from our hotel room throughout the day to check out the concert and activities. it turns out we had an awesome eye-level view of the fireworks from our hotel room which was the best surprise. the hotel itself offers dining/party options in its rooftop restaurant, but the prices were between baht and were sold out early. it was a beautiful hotel in a perfect location for those who love shopping as there are many large malls (central world, mbk, siam) within walking distance. the room was clean and quite decent in size, with a lovely bathroom and soaking tub. the service at the hotel was excellent and staff was quite friendly. the location definitely makes this hotel worthwhile.

When i was arrive they don't have a Deluxe World Room type and Twin Bed.
Finally i am so suprise they upgrade our room to higher level on this hotel level 50 and we get private room and queen size bed and they give us more extra bed "All for Free" i really excited
I promise with my family we want to come again..
