Nice swimmingpool area and gym, excellent breakfast buffet, friendly staff
No nightlife what so ever in the area. All restaurants closed after 10pm.
The rooms are huge and well equipped. Cleaning is very good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There was no problem when we wanted to change from a smoking to a non-smoking room. If you're not a smoker yourself, then ask for a non-smoking room since the other rooms smell. The hotel is close to some shopping malls (can recommend Pantip Plaza and Platinum shopping mall) but far from downtown sights and nightlife.

Reception staff attitude, unhelpful, too much mirrors in the room, old furnitures, breakfast spread need more improvement
Overall, acceptable. Reception staff wasn't helpful, asked them to arrange for taxi with my given name card, they asked you to call yourselves. And ask receiption to call for a wake up call, noone calls, causing us to be late for our appointment. Hotel should be more flexible with check-in and check-out time. Although room was big, head of the bed should not have mirrors. Breadfast spread should be improved, looks like meals for lunch instead. location is good. Rooms rate should not be increase again and again, although recently renovated, seems like there is no changes before renovation.
Restaurant Tip : At soi 19, there is a very nice pork leg rice/noodles stall, very very good, reasonable price.

Very big room with a kitchen, lots of cabinet space, couch, coffee table, even a stereo system for your music. Bed is comfortable -- not too firm or soft. Bathroom is ample, with big containers of shampoo, body wash, and lotion. Balcony with view of Petchburi street and Platinum Mall. Extremely friendly service. Plenty of cheap massage parlors just outside the hotel. Free and good breakfast food.
TV seems smallish because of the large room -- long distance between TV and bed. Only one set of toiletries, though, and they don't replace it, so bring your own toothbrush/toothpaste. Our safe kept giving us an error, but they were quickly and professional both times we called for someone to come up to reset it. After the second failure, we avoided using it and just locked everything in our suitcase instead. The water for the shower gets to a nice hot, but occasionally, it turns cold. The air con has to be set lower than you expect for it to get cold, but it does its job despite the big space. Good breakfast, but selection isn't big. Most of the food seems more like lunch food, but still delicious.
For its price, this place is luxury! It's about a 10-15 min walk to the nearest skytrain station (Ratchathewi), a perfect stroll at night when it's cooler. Plenty of tuk tuks and taxis just outside the hotel on the main road. There's some construction going out at a nearby vacant sight, but the sliding doors to our balcony were thick enough to block the sounds of Bangkok's hustle and bustle. Check in was brisk. Gave them my credit card for a 4,000 baht deposit, got our keys, and up we went. The inside of the hotel where you exit the elevator is rather drab and spooky, but once you enter your room, it'll feel like home. You get the conveniences of a hotel (housekeeping, breakfast buffet, pool) and the comforts of home (cable TV, kitchen, space, closet space).
Travel tip : There's a massage place just across the hotel that seems popular with the guests, so we tried the 200 baht foot massage for an hour. Very nice indeed, especially considering it's my first foot massage ever. Gave them a 50 baht tip. Ignore the Tuk Tuk/taxi touters outside the hotel entrance. Walk to the main street and hail a cab (ask for meter). If going towards Khao San/Grand Palace direction (westbound) in the morning, use the pedestrian crossover nearby and catch a cab on the other side of the street, or else you'll be stuck in traffic for a LONG time. Plenty of street food and restaurants on the main street, so skip the taxi and walk around, especially if you're going to the Skytrain.

- Best location for shopping
- kitchenette
- large room
- smelly
- slow elevator
- a little worn out
To start off, the hotel has a great location, located within short walking distances to Platinum, Pratunam, Central, Siam's and MBK. The Buffet Breakfast has a large variety, something that you cannot find in Thailand. The hotel itself is clean. However, make sure you specify you want a non-smoking room as we didn't and it smelt very old - we did not ask to change, our own fault, as we were only there for 2 days. This place would be great for a family that was cutting on the cost for a long vacation and that wanted to make food - however, there are such cheap foodcourts around that I do not see the need for someone who does not stay long term. All in all the hotel had nothing of a wow, it reminds me of a Holiday Inn in America - nothing glamourous, but it serves its purpose, gives you a place to stay in the middle of all the shopping.
One more thing - I would not usually complain about this but I feels it needs mentionning, get ready to wait up to 5 minutes, to exageration, for an elevator, as tehre are only 3 for 29 floors.
Shopping Tip : For trendy women shopping (up to 30 years) check out Platinum Fashion Mall - wow, so cheap and so nice.

"Friendly and helpful staffs. Room is roomy and clean
Too bad is a walk to rail station and outside the road alway jam in peak hours.
I have stayed at Centrepoint many times before and will definitely go back again because of its excellant location. Service is good and price is reasonable. "Convenient to shops eating locations.

Good service, high speed wireless internet, excellent location
Room service food is mostly tasteless. At least those I ordered.
Centre Point hotels always provide good service and quality of room with reasonable prices. This one is no exception. I stayed at Lang Suan branch last time and I enjoyed it too. This one is almost similar, only bettered by its close proximity to the Rachathewi BTS station. 5 mins walk. Studio room is big for me for the price. The food I ordered to my room is average though. Tasteless steak, mushroom soup, even the dessert ice cream. Well I can always go out to eat so it's not really a problem.
Overall, I enjoyed my experience thoroughly and will consider staying here again. Maybe I try another of its branch hotels.

Big room, Well-equipped small kitchen, excellent customer services, good luggage handling
Location not prominent (shd put up direction maybe near to Burger King)
We spent a bit of time searching for the hotel because the taxi that we took did not know the location so we alight at Plantip Plaza and walk to look for the hotel ourselves.
After staying there for 3 days, my husband and me love the hotel location so much that my husband said he will recommend this hotel to his friends because it is so convenient (he likes the IT mall and i like the fashion mall) and the price that we paid is so reasonable with such a big room.

Its a clean and well maintained property with all the services you need to make your stay easy
A bar in the lobby would have been a big bonus
If your looking for a clean and convenient hotel in the centre of busy Pratunam....then try Centrepoint
Hidden away from the hustle and bustle yet 2 minutes walk can get you in amongst it all and get you shopping. A serene pool to dine by or cool off in. Friendly and knowledgeable staff who are obliging and make you feel at home. Well priced and with all the services you would expect of a larger establishment. Its always my first choice in Bangkok.
Travel tip : Its so close to the big shopping centres

They are charging for baby cot 330b/day. Even if they have a room available before 2pm, they don't allow you to check in before that time.
This hotel is quite a deal. It's very good location makes out some of disadvantages that appears during the stay. It looks, that hotel used to be very luxurious when built. Even it has lost some of previous shine it is still a good deal. Aircon works perfect, rooms are specious even thou I can't see why someone would need all kitchen facilities in BKK. A TV with more programs would be nice.
Travel tip : In walking distance to biggest shopping malls.

Architecture, linens, furniture, amenties in the bathroom, overall beauty, and breakfast
Noise, MANY ants and other bugs, unresponsive front desk
The breakfast is just terrific at the Centre Point -- so many choices from Asian and western cuisine. I also liked the quality of the furniture in the room and in the hotel. The addition of a kitchen is a great touch.
However, the ants were really a problem. They were crawling on me, on the counter and up the walls. I called the front desk to have them cleaned up and they showed up to take care of it. However, hours later, there were hundreds of bugs in my room and when I called room service that time, they did nothing about it.
I put the room service food in the hallway because of the ant problem and asked the hotel to pick up the dishes full of insects. Twelve hours later, they were still sitting in front of my door. Pretty unsightly and unpleasant.

Location if looking for hotel in this area
There are better Centre Point Hotels in Bangkok and I think this needs a renovation. Hotel was full of families from middle east and business people from China when I was there and they normally only pick hotels with good price perfomance. Has a pool which I think is a plus and a good breakfast buffet.
