IMPORTANT :
The hotel has plans for renovation work for 2007 which will occur on the Lobby (floor G), facilities (floor L) and apartments. These projects are scheduled to be completed by June 10, 2007 - November 30, 2007 and September 30, 2008 respectively. ·Lobby (Floor G) will be under the renovation
work during 15 January 2007 - 10 June 2007
·Facility (Floor L) will be under the renovation work during 01 June 2007 –
30 November 2007
·Apartments will be under the renovation work during 01 June
2007 – 30 September 2008
Please note that the renovation will be done from Monday
to Friday (except Saturdays and Sundays); the working hour is starting from
09.00 hrs. to 18.00 hrs. An apartment’s renovation will be started at 8th –
12th Floor and continue until 26th Floor. Therefore, there will be some noise,
dust, smell and disturbance during the renovation period. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, expected to be complete at the end of February 2009. Renovations will be carried out on the follow: Facility (Floor L) Zone 2 / Conferece, Facility (Floor L) Zone 3 (Office), Apartments (Floor 9-29). Work will be done from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 6 pm. Renovation The Studio B (Deluxe), One-Bedroom, and Two-Bedroom category accommodations will be closed until further notice due to renovations. Validity : June 13, 2008– January 31, 2009

Regarding the noises, you might be more lucky if you asked the reception to arrange a room for you far away from the noises when you arrive! For the Internet, I advice you to use the internet at the Paragon Mall, the Internet cafe is very nice and you will use a wide screen samsung LCD monitor! It's much cheaper and nicer (1 hour = around 50 baht) can't complain about that. You can also play on-line if you have an account to some games! I used the hotel's Internet for urgent emails, not browsing, and costed me more in short time. Other than that, nothing serious to complain about this hotel. I recommend this hotel and I enjoyed it, the staff were nice. The only visible probem is the remodeling noises I would consider a serious problem in here, if you will go out in the morning then it's fine! But if you plan to stay until noon or afternoon you will keep hearing it! I go out after breakfast so it didn't bother me too much.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If it's your first time in Bangkok, get to the train and get a ticket from the train office (you can ask anything you want) full day ticket (it used to cost less but now its 120 baht for 1 full-day, unlimited rides for the train only!) taking a taxi back & forth plus with traffic will cost you more. Go to Siam (where Paragon Mall is) and explore inside the mall and outside. Ask for a map in the airport or your hotel to see whats near you. Be careful when people ask you "where you are from?" simply answer "You don't like to say", or simply "it's a secret" because its none of their business, they take it as an opening to open a conversation and to know about your income, behavior, and language and bother you in special deals. It's MUCH BETTER you go to tourist agents for deals than believe these people. Simply smile and walk away! They stand there all day to do this to tourist only! Men and women are doing it!
