Newly renovated, Clean and neat. Rooms are spacious.
Very strict on the rules. They do not allow kids to bunk in with parents, and NO extra Bed for studio despite the room being spacious. The beds are all single and they do not even offer queen size bed. They should allow a bit of flexibility on this matter.
This is my second stay in this Centrepoint Silom service apartment. Generally the stay is above average to good. Location is good as less than five mins walk to BTS, and there is also a shopping centre right beside the apartment. Everything is in order, room is neat, clean and spacious. Toilet is very spacious and newly renovated. But they offer very little flexibility on the number of guest.
Despite the room being spacious, (cause the sofa set is missing), they do not allow for any extra bed. On top of that, all beds are single. They do not even have a queen bed not to mention King size.
I have a kid of three years old, and imagine how to sleep with a kid on a single bed?

Location is perfect, on the river and close to the Sky Train
Smaller rooms than they used to be with the recent remodel
I have stayed at this hotel/serviced apartment about 20 times during the last 4 years. While I used to like it more (before the remodel) I still think it is one of the best hotels in Bangkok. Great staff, great location and decent food.
Restaurant Tip : Next to the hotel is a food court on top of the department store, floor 4 or 5 and the food is good and inexpensive

Location next to river and shops
Rooms are not as decorated with nice artwork as some other hotels in Bangkok
Best location for families going to Bangkok as you can go anywhere in the city quickly on the Skytrain which is an easy 5 minute walk from this hotel. You can also take a water taxi up or down the river to see parts of Bangkok that the "locals" go to.
This hotel is far away from the nightlife that attracts some to Bangkok which is perfect for me and my family.
The staff here is typical Thai which means gracious and ever so helpful.

Hot and Cold running water.
Not too far from BTS.
Breakfast is not too impressive.
No room service.
TV's are pretty small.
I like staying at Centre Point Hotels as they really try hard to be a big family.

near saphin taksin sky train, and boats, river view, friendly staff, nice diverse b/fast, big room, part of Robinson shopping centre, nice pool and gym.
not many, but internet was too expensive, around 300 baht per hour, most internet cafes charge 60.
this was a nice hotel, good value for money, staff always helpful, not much of a river view but you can see the different boats coming and going, has a distinctive shaped roof so if you get lost you can see it easily. is right near saphin taksin sky train so you can walk a few minutes and get round town by sky train or walk another 50 meters and catch the many boats leaving from the river.
Travel tip : make sure you have map, always ask for directions/advice from staff before heading out, its easy to get lost or pay too much money for things if you look unsure, always insist on metered taxi, its always the cheapest if you have to take taxi. tuk tuks are ok for the experience but you end up breathing in a lot of smog.

Close to BTS.
Department store very close.
No air conditioning in the hallways. Gets very muggy and uncomfortable.
i like the centre point hotels. Not all of them are situated in convenient locations but the Silom one is close to the BTS and the river. It is a little congested around the area and the area is not upmarket or sophisticated, but it is a comfortable place to stay with a very friendly staff. They try hard to make you feel like one of the family.

Excellent view of the river (if you have a room with one).
Pool.
We stayed only one night here, but form what we saw the hotel is very nice, clean, room was very spacious and the stuff is very kind and helpful - to bad we could not have stayed longer. Interestingly enough, taxi drivers (we used several taxis to explore the area around) did not know where the hotel was. If you are coming from the airport, have Hotel's phone number with you so that the driver can call the hotel to get the direction. (We had a map, but it did not help!)

Right on top of shopping centre, close to the river. Spacious & elegant rooms, clean
Surrounding area is a bit dirty and crowded, unfriendly staff, bit pricey in my opinion.
Me and my partner stayed here for 4 nights and simply luved it apart from its unfriendly front desk staff. At first the surrounding area seemed really dirty but after entering into the hotel it felt like you r in a totally different place. i also prebooked the breaky vouchers and while checking out in the morning i lost one of the voucher and the front desk staff told me that he has sorted it out with the kitchen staff and i can go and have breakfast but on return he charged me for that breakfast. I got really angry but as we were getting late for our flight i didn't prefer to hang around and argue and simply paid for it. But the door/security guys were sweet as.

Studio was very spacious, renovated and bright. Free wireless internet. Easy access to skytrain and river taxis.
Hallways are not air conditioned - not really a big deal. Breakfast average.
Stayed for 3 nights in a studio. Would stay here again without hesitation. Staff are exceptionally helpful, room was comfortable and new. It's the location that I love about this place though. Also, Robinsons Dept. store is connected to the hotel.
Restaurant Tip : If you're looking for a quick snack the food court in the basement of Robinsons is very good, and very inexpensive.

clean rooms , large, good price.
bad breakfast and no place to put a suitcase in the rooms.
large, clean rooms ,good price. Right next to the BTS. Nice pool but sun is gone at 2:00. Friendly staff and ground floor leads directly to Robinson's Department Store. Bad breakfast and no place to put a suitcase in the rooms., Used to be better, but overall, the best bargain available for the money in the area.
Hotel Feature Tip : next to the BTS.

Spacious room with all amenities.
Convenient to BTS Skytrain as well as River Ferry Landing.
Robinson's Dept Store, Supermarket & Restaurants on ground/basement levels.
Value-priced.
Mediocre breakfast buffet.
Internet workstation pricey (but inet cafe directly across the street).
Not within walking distance of any real sight-seeing (but BTS & Ferries more than compensate for this).
Saw the many positive reviews, and have to add mine (ours) to them. Wife and I agree we will return here for future Bangkok stays. The location is not really very central to Bangkok, but nearness to the BTS and the river ferries make it easy & cheap to access virtually any point in the city. Room was clean, modern, spacious, quiet and had all the amenities (could hear some renovation going on in a nearby room, but this was strictly during working hrs, not all that loud or that continuous, and didn't constitute any real annoyance). Bed was comfortable. No problems with HVAC, appliances or plumbing except the in-room washing machine was somewhat indecipherable (but otherwise a very nice feature). Really would recommend this place! Didn't otherwise try the hotel restaurant(s), but the breakfast buffet was average.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Learn about and use the river ferries! They're cheap, easy-to-use once you know where the pier stations are, give you easy & scenic access to all of BKK's river-side attractions & canal tours, and there's a pier right nearby this hotel.

The buffet breakfast offered uhas that leftover reheated taste
This place is located right next to the BTS. Nice rooms and affordable price. The buffet breakfast offered has that leftover reheated taste which is entirely uneccessary in a place this nice. I prefer carpeted fl0oors in the rooms, these are hardwood. Many people think this is fine. Overall, the best deal for the price in the Silom area

Location offers easy access to the skytrain, expressway, and river taxis. Nice amenities, kitchen, views, swimming pool, high flow showers, free internet, breakfast included in package. Recently remodeled.
I prefer Centrepoint even over 5-star hotels in the area. Besides being substantially cheaper, Centrepoint offers better river views, spaciousness, has an in room kitchen and stereo, is closer to the sky train, and has a Robinsons department store and grocery store inside the same building.

New rooms are smaller than before the remodel.
I have stayed here every six month since 2005 as I love the location (close to BTS-5 minutes) and this hotel is attached to a department store and food market.
I also like the great staff. On the negative side they cut the room size in half after the remodel so the rooms while nice are not as great as before. Still a great place to stay.

Great location as the Sky train and Chaopraya river boat stop is a few minutes walk away, rooms are very neat and clean.
Balconies are not very nice, bed is hard as a rock: although it seems to be an Asian standard.
Centre Point Silom is a very nice hotel for its price range. Staff is helpful and friendly which makes you feel very welcome. The hotel has its own security staff to keep watch 24 hours a day, and they are very friendly as well. The breakfast in the hotel is nice consisting of international breakfast items as well as some Asian delights. Downstairs you can find a department store and a McDonalds in case of an urgent hunger.
