Good location: Close to the river, shopping areas and tourist attractions!
Great value for money!
It's about to be completely renovated. We stayed in an all-new room and were very satisfied. You even get a washing machine!
We can really recommend to stay at this hotel. We did not hear anything from the work that is obviously being carried out at the moment. Breakfast was very good, too. Prices of the restaurant seemed very reasonable. Staff was very helpful and polite. You also find a shopping mall directly next to the hotel!
Nightlife Tip : In walking distance you find the "Lebua at State Tower Hotel". Enjoy a drink at the roof-top bar in the 64th floor - open air!

modern clean rooms, spacious.
internet in room often does not work.
I have stayed here many times. for the price you cant beat the location and the room comfort. each room has a refrigerator, microwave and washer/dryer. bathroom is huge and modern with a great big glass shower. the bed is comfortable and the hotel is very quiet. it is attached to Robinson dept store which is a good feature in case you need a forgotten item. the breakfast is not the best I've had in Thailand but for the price you cant complain

Nice staff, facilities are good, location is right next to BTS.
Gets very quiet at night if that is a con to you. Morning breakfast a little boring.
The Centre Point is a great value for your money on Agoda. The facilities include a nice pool area, in room laundry and a galley kitchen. The cleaning was very good, and though it appeared that some construction was on-going, we never actually heard or saw it happen. The room includes in room wireless for free, which was very helpful in trying to get out of Bangkok during the recent protests.

excellent rooms, great location very helpful staff.
the washer dryer combo took some figuring out.
this was my second stay in bangkok and i wanted to try a differant hotel.this place was great.the location is great ,next to the bts skytrain and a five minute walk to the central pier.from here you can go anywhere in the city.there is a department store and supermarket down below the hotel which was handy as we had a small kitchen.the restaurant serves very good thai food.and the breakfast is also good.i would recomend this place to anyone going to bangkok and i would stay here again next time in bangkok.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : bangkok beware!!!!.if you go to the grand palace be ready to get hassled and lied to.the area is full of con artists trying to get you to go to a tailors or gem store.they tell you the palace is closed when it's open and open when it's closed.

Beautiful rooms, Good Break fast, Excellent Location and good value of money. The sky train station Saphan taskin is near by, Shopping and other things like super market,Pizza hut, KFC. are next to the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel and will always stay there Whenever we come to Bangkok.
We are so satisfied there is nothing that we disliked.
We were in bangkok for the first time and did not know where to stay and we accidently found agoda.com which helped us a lot and suggested a lot of hotel to suite our budget and travel dates. We choose CENTRE POINT, Silom and no regerts we are very happy and this as the name suggests it is truely a centre Point.

Shopping Tip : Take a sky train from Saphen Taskin (walking distance from the hotel) to National Stadium and go to MBK market, its the best, also shopping on silom street is fun, take bus number 77 or 504 (again bus stop is walking distance from hotel) and you will see the small shops on your left.

Location is excellent for featuring in night life which can not be experienced in other countries.
Variety of foods for complimentary breakfast comparing with the other Center Points in BKK.
As of the location is excellent to enjoy the night life for Japanese in BKK. Tour arrangement was not so excellent to Major Hotel's one since it was was very private, which does not look like that of the famous tourism company. Other facilities are satisfied in charge for family stay which can not be rendered by a hotel.

Large rooms 65 sq.m. Great bathroom, kitchen with all necessary equipment. Here is the playground for the more so when it needed a breather in the ground can enjoy the space. The hotel is on the far right pool and exercise room.
We have lived at the hotel at 2 occasions, both times we have good store rooms. The hotel is under 5 minutes walk from the Skytrain, as well as stop båttaxier. Journey with the Skytrain from the hotel to the National Stadium where the scroll. MBK and many other GIGA stores are taking under 15 minutes. The train goes "all the time" until midnight. This is a good choice,
Nightlife Tip : Include long pants so that the bar at the top of Lebua in 63 floor can avlegges a visit, as well as at the international buffet at Shangri la hotel can inntaes when the body needs a round of food as it recognizes from domestic funnels. Both sites are in the 7-minute walk.

These newly renovated rooms are nice and large. The location next to the river is super.
The hotel is a bit far from the nightlife.
I have stayed here a number of times and really like this hotel. The service is not very good, but this is true of all Centre Points in Bangkok. The location is great if you like the river life, but not very good if you like the nightlife.
Nightlife Tip : Not suitable if you like to be next to the great nightlife.

Centre Point properties in Bangkok are spacious and clean.
Centre Point service is always substandard.
I always like Centre Point properties. However, if you are looking for great service, you will not find it here. Friendly, yes; great service, no.

Location, renovated rooms, nice building.
No steam iron available. Charges extra for towels. Internet access free, but very slow.
I really like this property because the rooms are nicely renovated and the location is excellent. The property is located near the Chao Phraya River next to Robinson Department Store a few minutes walk from the Saphan Thaksin BTS station. The property is just a few minutes walk to the Saphan Thaksin pier where you can catch many boats, including the free shuttle boats to luxury hotels along the river. The area around the property is more "Thai" than say the Sukhumvit area, so some folks might not like being a bit far from the famous night life. However, during normal traffic it is only about 60-70 Baht by taxi and takes less than 20 minutes (if no traffic jam.) So during the evening you can take the BTS and come back by taxi when there is no traffic.
Many of the rooms are being renovated, and the renovated bathrooms are very nice. Mine had a very large shower, nearly 6 square meters, detached big tub and of course marble sink area. The rooms and the property is 4 star or 3 star ++. Center Point service is 3 star at best, more like 3 star --, that is how they keep the cost down, I guess.
For example, I begged for a steam iron, complained to the front desk manager (who is rarely on site) and never got one (or a final call back with an apology). All Center Point properties I have stayed provide only a "hot plate iron" so you have to be very careful or you will ruin your clothes. Management does not pay attention about these important, but small, details. The Internet is painfully slow, much slower than any other property I have stayed in Thailand, and I have lived in hotels here for over a year.
Overall, however, if you like the river lifestyle and great location, since the rates are reasonable, I think you will be happy here. I keep coming back because of the value. I just with Center Point management was more helpful when it comes to details like steam irons, extra towels, etc. If the rates go much higher, however, I will consider changing propert
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Property is just a few minutes walk to free shuttle boat service to major luxury hotels along the river. Enjoy!

I did not expect to pay so little for the high level of luxury I received. The CP is wonderfully located to experience Bangkock and conveniently near the Sky Train public transport. Excellent in-room features including full kitchen, model bathroom and good city views. I arrived on Halloween night and was tickled to see the lobby and staff decked out in full holiday garb. It was like saying, 'welcome home'.
The hotel could invest in newer more efficient clothes washer/dryer. Mine took 2 hours to dry just one load, vibrated out of position and was very loud. The hotel could provide guests with very specific location data to give to taxi drivers because there is more than one CP in the Silom district. It took me a total of 2 hours and 78 Baht to arrive from the airport. I could say that bubble bath should have been supplied for the large bathtub, that bed turn-down service complete with chocolates or cookies was missing and there was no morning paper - but these are unnecessry indulgences compared to the excellent service and amenities already provided.
After a month-long trip though SE Asia, Bhutan and Nepal I wanted a simple 2-day stopover room before my return flight to the US. I ws delightfully surprised and totally impressed with the excellent quality and spaciousness of the studio room I had. All of the hotel personnel were courteous, helpful and responsive. The CP Silom is definitely now my return choice. I would suggest to travelers that reservations be made online, where I received a very reasonable room rate. The amentities, free breakfast and services far exceeded the cost.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The CP is a minute walk to the Sky Train public transportation station - an excellent way to get around the city. The CP also is adjacent to both an indoor shopping mall and scores of night market stalls. Make sure you get into a metered taxi so you don't have to haggle over rates for your destination, but be prepared to also cover the cost of roadway tolls in your final fare to the driver (about 45 Baht/toll). Use your debit card to get immediate Thai cash at the airport ATM. Currently you get about 350 Baht for $10 (Nov 2008).

The hotel is located at convenient location. It's connected to the shopping mall at lower level. The parking lot is at higher level, and the condition is not that nice. The parking lot looks rather old and unsafe. The hotel has been renovated, and still under consturction on some floors and some area. On the floor i stayed, apparently is still under construction, and I heard the very loud construction activities noise early in the morning. The hotel should not put the guests to the room on the floor under construction. However, the room is quite nice.
