This is 3rd CentrePoint apartment in Bangkok I have tried and all so far high standard in good locations at reasonable rates.
- Hotel Feature Tip : Direct access from lift lobby to the big Robinsons supermarket from 10.30 to 22.00 makes getting apartment supplies incredibly easy.

The checking-in form resembles a legal contract written by some lawyers. I was tired when I arrived. I just wanted to get some rest. Not to read a lengthy legal document. So I signed my name at the bottom in order to get the key, but also printed in very large letters, that I did NOT agree to any of the terms. And further stated that I was too tired to read all of it. Which I was. And I did not finish reading but half the document. It was too lengthy.
They also wanted a 2000 baht deposit. So I handed them my credit card. They required me to sign it in advance. In other words, I had to sign a credit slip without receiving any service or product to pay for. So again, I put a statement on the charge slip that it was signed for no products or services provided. That would have provided me with some protection if I needed to dispute any bogus charges.
a wonderful hotel

Definitely got our monies' worth.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Be WARY of cabbies -- they frequently try to go without the meter and claim bogus night-rates. Instead, take the river boat. It's a 10 minute walk, goes on the river, and gets you to the Grand Palace area much quicker.
Nice hotel

Regarding the noises, you might be more lucky if you asked the reception to arrange a room for you far away from the noises when you arrive! For the Internet, I advice you to use the internet at the Paragon Mall, the Internet cafe is very nice and you will use a wide screen samsung LCD monitor! It's much cheaper and nicer (1 hour = around 50 baht) can't complain about that. You can also play on-line if you have an account to some games! I used the hotel's Internet for urgent emails, not browsing, and costed me more in short time. Other than that, nothing serious to complain about this hotel. I recommend this hotel and I enjoyed it, the staff were nice. The only visible probem is the remodeling noises I would consider a serious problem in here, if you will go out in the morning then it's fine! But if you plan to stay until noon or afternoon you will keep hearing it! I go out after breakfast so it didn't bother me too much.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If it's your first time in Bangkok, get to the train and get a ticket from the train office (you can ask anything you want) full day ticket (it used to cost less but now its 120 baht for 1 full-day, unlimited rides for the train only!) taking a taxi back & forth plus with traffic will cost you more. Go to Siam (where Paragon Mall is) and explore inside the mall and outside. Ask for a map in the airport or your hotel to see whats near you. Be careful when people ask you "where you are from?" simply answer "You don't like to say", or simply "it's a secret" because its none of their business, they take it as an opening to open a conversation and to know about your income, behavior, and language and bother you in special deals. It's MUCH BETTER you go to tourist agents for deals than believe these people. Simply smile and walk away! They stand there all day to do this to tourist only! Men and women are doing it!
