Incompetent business center: I asked them to book a flight for me within Thailand to my next destination. If I had done it via Internet by myself, it would have been faster and cheaper as will. As the saying goes: "Friendliness does NOT substitute professionalism." - What I really enjoyed was the friendliness of the entrance hall and brekfast staff :) The hotel is also located in a good strategic position (close to boat, sky train, taxi rides, airport). What I especially liked: the entrance hall as well as the rooms allow for a lot of daylight. Marriott Bangkok always gave the impression of night-time. In case the management fixes the wi-fi, I will definitley stay there again! P.S. I just think it's a little bit greedy/ ovedone to sell Internet Cards to earn an extra commission of 20-30% in a hotel like this. Wi-Fi is cheap to install and a must-have in today's accomodation world. Many backpacker places or bed&breakfast places around the world already include wi-fi as a complimentary service. What a shame then for a great hotel!

• Shopping Tip : Book&Buy tickets in a travel agency outside rather than in the Business Center: you will get faster service and better value for your money. The Business Center also charges for every call 20THB,- this is tiresome if it becomes picky like that.

Overall the deluxe room is ok (value for money).

Sandals are available in the Deluxe Room, and the bathroom is equipped more completely than the Superior Room. These rooms include a newspaper.

The closet is still noisy but a little bit better compared to the Superior Room.

• Restaurant Tip : If you like Chinese food, there is a restaurant near the Pratunam center. They serve Hainan chicken rice, very cheap but the food is good.

Good location not far from Victory Monument sky train. The staff were very helpful and polite. The breakfast spread was one of the best I have seen in any Bangkok Hotel. Bar did not open until 6.00 pm though and drinks and food were very expensive, like 150 Baht for a small Singha which is very expensive. They have a cafe which sells beautiful cakes and pastries and good coffee too. On the whole very good and I would stay there again.

• Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Do not use the taxis just down the road from the hotel. The bell boys will get you one.

Good location hotel with nice swimming pool. Friendly staff at reception desk . Nice big rooms with wonderful view to Bangkok city. Very big and nice bathroom. Good service in the restaurant. Good location, close to the Pratunam market and not so far from Victory Monument by skytrain.

Nice great reception desk. Great breakfast buffet. Nice rooms & bathroom.

Black floor with also black steps is quite a little bit dangerous.

• Shopping Tip : Close to Prathunam clothes market. Not far from dept. store at Victory Monument. Small green local bus 77 brings you to Silom Road.

• Travel tip : The rooms need to be renovated, they don't smell so good. Also I stayed at this hotel 10 years ago and the breakfast is has not changed in that 10 years.

We stay here all the time and do not see any need to change. Has to be very good to have that feeling.

We have stayed at this hotel many times and every time it gets better. We will always stay here because of the location, cleanliness & courtious staff. It is easy to get around from here.

Retirement Party Guest Rating: 4.8

I had a difficult time getting a twist of lemon for my drink. The bar staff did not understand the difference between a lemon and a lime and they did not understand what a twist was.

• Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Had a great tour booked through the tour desk in the hotel out to the River Kwai and Elephant ride. It was a very good tour for a very resonable price.
