Friendly staff, good location close to a metro station. Communication in english is not a problem. I like the close proximity to a golf driving range and the free internet usage.

Quiet Location, near a Metro Stop, several restaurants and spas located onsite. Not near any major attractions This is my 3rd stay in this hotel. I dont like to stay near Sukhumvit or other tourist locations but like to be able to get around Bangkok without a car. This hotel is about a block away from the Ratchadaphisek Metro stop, so I can catch the Metro (and the BTS) to Sukhumvit or MBK or Siam Paragon.
Hotel Feature Tip : There are 2 Spas across the parking lot of the hotel. The one on the 5th floor is VERY high end with a wide variety of services which honestly can be very pricey. If you just want a regular foot or body massage, go to the spa on the 3rd floor which is much more affordable.

Very nice hotel. 5-10 minutes walk to underground train. Friendly staffs and good facility - Excellent pool and gym. There is a small convenience store 24/7 in the parking lot. Systems are outdated, i.e. old key card to the room and TV does not have a remote control just a wired control box. I stay at Chaopraya hotel every year I visit for the past 10 years. Staffs are friendly and very helpful. You can't get a 4 stars hotel for the price anywhere else. There are not much store near by withing a walking distant but an underground train within 5-10 minutes and taxi is cheap to get whereever you want to go. Good size swimming pool and nice little gym to workout.
Shopping Tip : Walk to underground train to go whereever to avoid traffic during the rush hours. Weekend market on one direction and busy downtown area on another direction.

convenient location if you are familiar with Bangkok geography and well-kept hotel worth the price you pay. Many times when making reservation through Agoda, complimentary breakfast is not included, which was the case this time, too. Because of relatively low price, I was skeptical and did not expect much for one night stay with my girlfriend but overall equipments and the size and interior of our room was much more than what I had expected and we had a very comfortable stay. I would most likely come back to stay at this hotel in the future whenever I come back to Bangkok. Complimentary breakfast would have been an extra plus.

Room was nice and clean. Many good choices to eat. Breakfast Buffet was good. The price through Agoda was excellent compared to the walk in rate!!! Short walk (about 500 Meters) to MRT (Local Subway System) Location was very bad!
Many hidden costs makes your stay much more expensive as there are no local alternatives for anything. Even know it was close to the MRT, that was it! Otherwise there is nothing with 1 KM of this hotel. No 7-11, no store or shop of any type other than the one that was on the grounds of the hotel (in the parking lot). That store had at least a 10% markup from the rest of the store chain! Laundry, room service, restaurants, minibar... Everything was over priced in comparison to other hotels in Bangkok of the same class!
The Agoda Price did not include breakfast. The price for Breakfast was 600 Baht!!! That is ~$17.
Nightlife Tip : If you are going to stay here use the MRT to get around.

All mod cons and great lobby. Slightly tired looking and away from the centre, although very near the subway. Also, breakfast was NOT included. Nice hotel at good value. Internet access, bath AND shower in the room and large, comfortable beds. However, we were unable to open the windows and the hotel did not smell fresh enough for my taste. But it's a classy hotel which is only about 15-20 minutes away from the buyant city centre by tuk-tuk.

Very good hotel and good value also. Can not really fault this hotel other than the 30 min. undergroun (MRT) Can not fault this hotel other than it takes 30 mins to the central mals shopping centres cinemas etc. There is a small mini market close by for esentials. Reasonable fitness centre and swimming pool
Shopping Tip : Take the MRT to travel in to town much quicker than a taxi

10 minutes walk to Metro Subway Station Ratchadipisek
Complimentary WIFI in the Guest Room using my own laptop No Coffee/Tea Making facilities in the Room I am very satisfied with the large size of the room. The bathroom had a separate bath tub and a separate walk-in shower. The twin bed was comfortable. Each bed had two soft pillows. One extra pillow was inside the closet.
I reserved a Superior Room without breakfast. There was a Coffee Corner in the Lobby selling sandwiches and pastries at reasonable price instead of taking the Buffet Breakfast.
The location of the hotel is far but not inconvenient. Taxi fare is not expensive and you can get to most Tourist Attractions like the Grand Palace or Patpong for about Baht 150 on a metered taxi in about 30 minutes unless the traffic situation is bad at the moment of your departure from the hotel then you may need one hour.
I will recommend our Agoda members to stay in this hotel. I will certainly book and stay in Chaophya Park Hotel on my next visit to Bangkok.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Grand Palace Tour close at 3:30pm. Allow yourself one and half hour to finish the tour. Admission ticket cost Bath350. Take the taxi from the hotel and get off right outside the Main Entrance. Fare is about Baht 150. Do not pay attention to touts who will tell you the Grand Palace is closed for an important ceremony.

Hotel and the room is clean, tidy, nice conducive to stay.
The free internet network (100Mbps)is just great for work and net surfing.
The friendly hotel staff are polite, flexible and with good initiative when I requested for late check-out.
My request made during the internet booking was fulfilled when I checked-in to the room.
The room rates is value for money though it does not comes with breakfast.
2 bottles of complimentary mineral water provided daily. Location wise is not so ideal as you have to walk around 15mins to reach the train station. It's not so nice when the weather is hot and when it rains. Hence everywhere I go, I have to take a cab even if its only 2 to 3km away. Hotel should consider to provide free shuttle service to nearby shopping centre.
No safe box in the room.
TV in the room without remote control.
Pipe in music at the central control is not working. On the whole, I did enjoyed my stay at Chaophya hotel from 6th till 10th May 2009. If the hotel is able to improve on those things that stated above at the Cons sector, I'm convinced that it will certainly helps to boost up your business by another 20% easily. The hotel has already some great advantages over others like free internet,newly refurbished room and facility, competitive room rates and good in fulfilling customer's request etc..
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The nearby eating place has really good food like Padthai and the kway teow soup etc...

The room was clean. Gym and Pool, driving range(golf), all facility is good. near MRT station, 5min. by walk The staff is very kindness, and room was clean. I could watch new year firework from my room. The room and pool face to south, so it's bright and warm. Gym facility is so nice, and pool is clean. There is convenience shop in the site(next to hotel).

Allthough it will take about twenty to thirty mins to reach the shoping areas. The MRT (UNDERGROUND) is ten mins walk away. Good fitness centre. Reasonable swiming pool. Food is exelent. Live music entertainment in the evenings. Taxi service into town could be a problem due to heavy Bangkok traffic.

Chaophya Park Hotel is a short 10 minutes walk to the Metro Subway Station. Our check-in was quick and our room was spacious. The twin beds were comfortable. Bathroom is large with a separate shower and a separate bathtub. Free Internet access in our room was very important to me. There is a sandwich and coffee kiosk in the lobby. There was no Coffee/Tea making facilities inside the superior room. It took us 20 minutes by public meter taxi from the Suvarnabhumi Airport to Chaophya Park Hotel. Taxi fare cost us Baht300. Metered Taxi is cheap in Bangkok costing around Baht140 to most tourist destination like the Grand Palace, Chinatown, Chitlom Shopping Areas from the hotel. But allow more time for traffic as sometimes you can get stuck for twenty minutes in the same spot. Metro Subway and BTS Skytrain is a good alternative to avoid the traffic jams. But the heat will discourage you from walking. Bring water at all times to quench your thirst. Beware of taxi driver who will not use their meter. Touts are everywhere who will point you to the wrong destination or give you wrong information. If you have a destination to visit, do not deviate. Take a meter taxi instead of Tuk Tuk.
Hotel Feature Tip : If you reserve room without breakfast, take your breakfast at the Coffee Corner where a sandwich and a cup of coffee will cost around Baht 150. A convenience store near the hotel is open until 12 midnight.

Was like a total 4 star hotel 10 years ago, now a little old, but incredible value. Location 4-5 miles away from center of tourist stuff Beautiful business hotel, 4 star like 10 years ago, now its a tiny bit aged, but an incredible value. Golf range! Nice pool, fitness center, FREE Internet thats fast!, some good restaurants but there not cheap. Overall very very good, 200m from a subway stop so thats great, its just that theres nothing within walking distance really.
