Great Location, Great Rooms, Great Service

we love this hotel and stay there whenever in bangkok. we live in thailand so can take our choice. we've never been dissappointed.
frequently we bring friends or family over to host for lunch/dinner/breafast and show them the view and room. at that point they all become chatrium clients. our family was staying at the marriott. one look at the chatrium and they knew they had booked at the wrong hotel. they were coming from outside the country and were unaware of the hotel choices and differences.
Travel tip:
cab ride from either airport should be 200-300 tb + toll roads (45tb each) - make sure they have the meter turned on whenever you use a cab. the hotel has easy access to the skytrain via their boat also.

Excellent Hotel - will definitely come back

The staff here were excellent! My cab driver tried to charge me 620B from the airport. Luckily he didn't have change for a 1000B and had to ask the front desk to break it. I told the bell boy the cab fare and he renegotiated the fare for me - I ended up paying 500B. Later the same bell boy (who brought up my suitcase) told me that 620B was way to high and that 500B was acceptable although they can usually negotiate cab fare (depending on the time of day) between 300B - 400B, with toll. I did arrive to BKK around 5PM so I thought 500B was fair. On my way back to the airport, I paid around 350B (again with toll), although I departed around 8PM.
When I told the concierge I wanted to book a tour for the floating market the next day, they were super helpful. Upon learning that I was the only one going they suggested going by cab and paying for a private boat, which would be cheaper than the 4500B tour would have charged me. I ended up taking this recommendation and the entire thing cost me half the price.
The boat ride to the BTS skyway was a short, painless 5 minutes making it easy to go wherever.
Ordered room service the first night and it was good, although expensive compared to what you can get on the street.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Pay more for a river view. It's totally worth it!!

Perfect hotel for familys with young children

During our annual visit to Thailand we stayed at the hotel 6 nights. 3 nights when we arrived and we decided to use the hotel before leaving as well. The hotel staff are helpful and polite. All issues at the reception were taken care of with great efficiency.
Our 5 year old boy loved the pool area. You could both look at all the boats at the river and play in the pool that were arranged for small kids. We added an extra 400 bath to our stay at the hotel and got a room with river view for the first 3 nights. Well worth!
Shopping Tip:
Asiatic is just 5 mins with Taxi. Asiatic is a new shopping area with nice handcrafts and good restaurants.

My husband took I'll and had to go to hospital. The staff and manager couldn't do enough for us. Even sent flowers to the room. Most helpful. Altogether the service was faultless and we will certainly return there.

Nice hotel at the River in a big complex, almost no traffic noise, seven-eleven in the attached building, good independent japanese restaurant, regular shuttle boat service to Saphan Taksin Peer and Skytrain Station, big rooms but rather 4-star than 5-star, good value for money.

Arrived well after midnight and staff were friendly and service was impeccable. Rooms are large, clean and well serviced. Was originally concerned about the proximity of the hotel to areas of interest. No problems at all as they have a great boat service along the river to connect you to the sky train and other piers. Am returning to Bangkok soon and have already booked another stay at this hotel! Well worth the price.

The hotel is built in a nice location. The hotel provide a boat service to go to the closest MRT. That is also a very convenient thing. In the mean time you can take river boates to travel around quite convenient and nicer than the taxi with heavy traffic.
