The 2-bedroom apartment was spacious and clean, with great views. (We upgraded). Conceirge, swimming pool and breakfast were also excellent. The food in the Chinese Restaurant on the top floor was very good. In contrast, the room service food was poor (the noodles were revolting). Also we had to pay 700 Baht per hour (!!) for babysitting 3 children that could easily put themselves to bed. The babysitter watched television constantly even when the children were awake, did not talk to them or clear away the dishes from their small meal. Not a good service and we thought completely overpriced for 3 independent children who were a little too young to leave on their own.

Loved this place from the minute I walked through the doors.
Great service & staff, great location, & very spacious rooms.
Breakfast has a great selection & very tasty foods to suit all.
Gym could be bigger for a 5* & better laid out, bar is in the middle of the main walk way/lobby & is not very inviting, other than that everything is 5* all the way.

we stayed here on our last night in thailand in july. the service was excwllent (although the bellboy did con us into buying a suit - we should've known better!). the room was big, modern and very clean. we didn't eat at the hotel restaurants as they were a bit pricey, however the room service food was better priced and tasty. overall, we would definitely stay here again.

riverside room upgrade offered on check in at very reasonable price. large room with great river views. room has kitchen area including cooker, microwave and fridge, not that you need to cook in bkk as the food is so cheap. free water. staff very friendly. free ferry transport to saphan taksin every 15 minutes or so. great riverside views from the bar/ restaurant. pool area also has great views of the city.
Travel tip:
ferry to saphan taksin gives you access to skytrain or local ferry services. don't take the tourist boat- its 10 times the local price and unnecessary!

Had a great relaxing time at Chatrium Hotel Riverside Bangkok. A bit disappointed with chef's service at the restaurant during dinner buffet.
A good choice to come back to stay, not to eat.

Missed a day of our stay in Bangkok, curtesy of Lufthansa but welcomed at the hotel with an offer of an upgrade to a suite with river view for a small extra charge. Good room, plenty of space so worth the extra and the river view was a bonus. Didn't eat in the hotel except breakfast and pool meals which were fine. Good pool although same depth throughout. Pleasant staff.
Whilst the there was plenty of traffic on the roads around the hotel entrance the hotel itself was nice and quite.
East access to BTS via hotel boat to the nearby station and BKK itself.
Hotel a little expensive by Thai standards but not complaining and will stay again

We originally had only 2 nights booked but stayed another4 as the hotel was so good.We initially booked a city view room but were talked into an upgrade, and we were very glad we did.The view from the 30th floor was really great. Good staff and clean rooms topped the experienc off.
Shopping Tip:
There is a 7 eleven attatched to the hotel. You can't beat that.
