Great location,
close to skytrain, and
convenient for most things in Bangkok.
I stayed at the City Lodge Soi 19 for the 4th time recently. This is not a 5-star hotel. However, it is clean, comfortable and has everything most people need. I choose the hotel for its location. Almost everything I need in Bangkok is within a short walk, and the skytrain is within a 2 minute walk, enabling you to get most places in town. I will stay at this hotel again, no question about it.

Stayed at the hotel twice during the holidays, total of 4 nights, and both times the hotel staff were obliging and helpful. The hotel is right on the corner of Sukhumvit Rd. & Soi 19, at the Asok BTS station, very convenient. The room was clean and all of the facilities worked fine. Breakfast was OK.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The adjacent BTS station allows for easy access to most areas of BAngkok.

Stayed for 8 nights, great location for nigh life and shoppers alike, The breakfast that's included is very limited, a choice of two bakery items from a choice of three with either tea or coffee and a fruit juice, for on extra 50Bht you can add two eggs served with either bacon, ham or sausage, got a little boring after eight days.
Also one evening the only lift was not working, as my room was on the 7th floor I was not very happy.
The hotel is good value and a great location, the staff were friendly and helpful.
Great for a couple of days, but lacks the amenities of most larger hotels in the Amari group.

Close to Asok st. and Sukhumvit st. ( Asok st. is in flont of hotel)
Employees are also very kind.
At first day, we didn't have toilet paper, so we had to ask to front about it.
good enough for just to sleep.

Location & Transportation Facility , Good Hospitality , Leisure & Pleasure very close.
A Big construction going on behind the hotel. Any moment expect a shocking noise.
Location - Located in the main Sukvumit are next to Sheroton also convenient to both MRT & BTS trains ,Meter Taxis to all main places.
Hotel - Neat & Clean rooms matching 5 star, Good Hospitality.
Food - hotel has a good Italian restaurant which can be tried once and not to be missed.
Leisure & Pleasure - Suvkumit area is full of all fun and will not regret in selecting this hotel.
Restaurant Tip : Never trust TUK TUK! always use Meter Taxi/MRT/BTS. TUK TUK will fool you easily.

Room comfortable, location fantastic and all staff are friendly and helpful.
A bit pricey, perhaps a 10 to 15% price reduction appears appropriate.
My family and I (5 of us)check-in on 17December 2008 and stayed for 4 nights. Upon arrival at the hotel we were warmly welcome by the bellboy (sorry I missed his name.He is the big size guy in uniform. At the reception counter check-in was fast and simple perhaps there were not many check-ins at that point in time. The rooms (we took 2)are comfortable and clean and reasonably furnished. Housekeeping during our 5 days stay was good and nothing to complaint. Breakfast was OK even though initially I thought it will be buffet b/fast. We regret not having the opportunity to taste the food in the Italian Restaurant due to limited time. Overall our stay was satisfactory and to a certain extent enjoyable. A 10 to 15% rate reduction appears more reasonable.
Nightlife Tip : (Under age group above, I am not certain which category I should pick. Our age are 12,28,29, 52 and 59 years)
Bangkok BTS SKY train and MTR are fantastic. You can see most of Bangkok by utilizing these mode of transport. If your stay is more than 5 days do take the BTS Pass valid for 30 days and you save a lot of time and the famous Bangkok traffic jam becomes irrelevant to you !

Great location, close to subways and bars.
This was a great budget hotel in a very good location. The rooms were clean and the restaurant downstairs had some good food. It is very close to all the downtown action bars clubs and great street food in the area. It is in walking distance to bed and q bar and the nana station. The staff was very friendly.

Location, cleanliness, skytrain nearby.
Internet access too expensive, facilities not as advertised, did not make up room late in the day.
This hotel was quite nice to stay at, but with the extra charge of 600 baht per 24 hours internet access in room, the total cost is prohibitive and does not reflect the hotel quality or facilities.
However, because the hotel is relatively near Sukhumvit, i was able to log on to True Wifi at a lesser fee - however this public signal is quite unreliable and i would guess in some rooms cannot be accessed.
The location is very good, and one can walk to the skytrain in less than 1 minute. Also nearby are grocery stores, laundry, other hotels, restaurants, cafes, etc.
I would consider staying here again, but at the same rate i was paying. I would certainly consider other options in the area as well.
Restaurant Tip : The One Hundred Children Cafe on Sukhumvit opposite side from this hotel, has delicious pastries, and blender drinks, comfortable and quiet location for tea, and with free Wifi.

Location and friendly staff.
Breakfast was a bit hap hazard.
The hotel is situated on the corner of Soi 19 and Sukhumvit. you can not find a better location. I got an upgrade for a room as the hotel was full. They gave me the upgrade no hassle what so ever. The staff were very friendly, the electrics in my room went off and they could not have been quicker in fixing it all in all my stay was most satisfactory.

Clean and quiet spacious room, very near to skytrain and MRT station, warm staff and concierge.
Lighting on the aisle between room is too dark (kind of spooky), breakfast not so good. There is a building construction just beside this hotel building, so it's so noisy.
This hotel has great location. Very near with Asok sky train station and Sukhumvit MRT station, near with shopping center and lots of food stalls around this hotel. Even though lobby area and restaurant was small but it has cool and modern interior design.
Room are quite spacious and clean, with standard amenities. Bathroom clean, but quite small.

- Location - Rooms have some nice touches and style - Bed
- outside noise - American, not full breakfast - Internet is free only in the lobby and the lobby is very small - Hotel looks run down from the outside and in the corridors but rooms are OK - staff hospitality is just adequate.
I had a satisfactory stay for 2 nights with my wife.
Great location as easy access to BTS and the subway were important for us.
Outside noise in the room was definitely too much.
They only serve American breakfast.
When we arrived the receptionist tried to move us to their another property down the street saying that the hotel is full. They did find a room for us but the experience was not pleasant – she persisted beyond reason and said that no room is available while that was not true.
In general I found better staff hospitality in other hotels I stayed in Thailand. It was still adequate, though.
Internet is free only in the lobby and the lobby is very small.
Better value hotels can be found in the area.
Nightlife Tip : Excellent live jazz in the Sheraton across the street

Price is very competitive for the area.
The hotel on the outside looks old, and the hotel only has 1 SMALL elevator.
I've stayed here many times over the last 6 months. The hotel is a budget hotel, but is quite acceptable for the price you pay. Good for Single travelers. It's close to Soi Cowboy and many restaurants as well as the Asoke BTS railway station.
Nightlife Tip : only a 5 minute walk from Soi Cowboy.
