Right beside a major MRT station with escalator access.
Has all the room facilities and accesories found in 4-star hotels e.g. hair dryer, emergency flashlight, toiletries, fully stocked mini bar, DVD player.
Free internet including power outlet at the lobby lounge.
Staff are helpful.
Lobby lounge has too few seats.
Here's a modestly priced hotel with all the comforts and facilities one needs. Location is near the major shopping malls all not exceeding 5 stops away and without requiring change of trains. Even Chatuchak is on the same MRT line. Security is good as the surrounding areas are heavily used. A popular Italian restaurant is next door.
Shopping Tip : You can shop intensively in at least 2 malls in an 8-hour period and still return to your room without effort as there is little walk required to get there and back.

central location, very close to skytrain station, efficient staff, large rooms, attached to excellent Italian restaurant.
heavy traffic noise, rooms all on the noisy street side; no wifi, no curtains to keep out noise and light (only wooden screens); very small lobby
The City lodge is an efficient, though somewhat impersonal hotel, conveniently located for sky train use and immediate access to extensive shopping areas. Rooms are clean and sufficiently equiped, reasonable value for money
Shopping Tip : almost at the doorstep: sky train to all major shopping centres. Excellent book store (Asia Books) within walking distance; excellent italian restaurant attached

Rooms are clean and staff are friendly.
I was a bit unsure of this hotel when I did my booking but after staying there, I highly recommend it to travellers who want convenience and comfort without burning a hole in their pockets.
Shopping Tip : Very near BTS sky train station.

Just beside BTS station and less than 1 min walk to MRT. Lot of good & cheap soupy noodle near the hotel. Close to family mart (24 hrs 7/11) and spa.
Physical outlook looks run down.
This hotel is located in the good logistic area as you can either take BTS or MRT to any destination in Bangkok. Besides, there are few hawker stalls that sell good and cheap pork and chicken noodle. It only cost 250 baht. There is a good coffee stall just outside a massage place. It taste much better than Starbuck coffee and tea with more affordable price. If you walk across the street to opposite shops, there is a good massage spa called "King and I" and you should try their Thai massage for only 300 bath. Behind the hotel, walk across the street you will find a happening spot like club. What more can ask for with a reasonable hotel rate! For my next trip, I will still consider this hotel.

Excellent location, nice rooms, friendly and helpful staff.
No swimming pool, no complimentary breakfast, internet service is not free (550 baht for 24 hours), ants.
You couldn't get a better location, across from the Westin on one corner and the Sheraton on the other. Just a few steps to the Skytrain or the Subway and in the center of the city. The staff were extremely polite and accommodating. The rooms were decorated very nicely and quite comfortable. There were sliding wood shutters that covered the sliding glass door to the balcony, these did a good job of muffling the noise from the street. Overall, it is an excellent value for the money. I would stay there again.
You could call it a Boutique Hotel. It doesn't have many rooms and there's no swimming pool. There were small ants in the bathroom and also gnats...maybe because of the rainy season or because of the construction going on behind the hotel.
Restaurant Tip : There's a good Mexican restaurant just around the corner opposite the Robinson's. Also below the McDonalds at the Robinson's, there's a convenient supermarket and food court.

The rooms have been refurbished completly. They are quite nice. No breakfast with the room but coffee and tea are available in the room.
As I arrived early, about 0530 hrs in the morning, I had to pay a half day fee extra. The American breakfast in the restaurant is listed at 240 baht. But they charge for extra cups of coffee.
The hotel is in a convient location as it is just at the ABS station (Asoke) It makes it easy to cross Sukumvit or to travel anywhere in Bangkok by ABS.

Hotel rooms provided with bloster. Daily newspapers provided at hotel lobby.
Weaknesses is rooms packages didn't include breakfast.
Short walking distance to BTS and MRT stations. Hotel rooms provided with DVD players and bloster. Superior rooms had balcony face to Westin Hotel. Check-in speeds very fast. Recommend to stay in City Lodge Sukhumvit 19. Good Location.
Shopping Tip : Next to Robinson Department Store and Opposite to Time Square Shopping Mall. Along the road side a lot of stall selling souvenir, watchs, DVDs, T-Shirt. Good areas for shopping.

Close to BTS Station.
Good restaurant adjoining.
Excellent nearby nightlife and restaurants in area.
The location was excellent. Sukhumvit is a choice area for shopping and nightlife and caters to a mid to high range of tourist budgets, although there are numerous food stalls around the corner for the budget travelers. The hotel has an excellent restaurant adjoining the hotel, and is only 100 meters from the Asok BTS station which is the best option to avoiding Bangkok's rush hour traffic. The rooms were comfortable and clean.
Shopping Tip : Excellent shopping nearby. The best in Bangkok.

Very close to Asok skytrain station and Sukumvit underground station.
There is a building site right behind the hotel, so the general area is not beautiful.
City Lodge Sukhumvit 19 is great value for money. It is in a good location close to Asok skytrain station and Sukumvit underground station. The staff were really nice and helpful and the hotel was clean. In the rooms the tolietries were really high standard. My benchmark of a good hotel is when a shower cap and a wash cloth are included in the tolietries. City Lodge provides these, plus all the usuals. We didn't try the Italian restaurant on the ground floor, but it seemed popular. I will stay there again.
